Summary: Homeworld 2 is a very detailed RTS game. One of first things player learns is that you can't just throw ships at the enemy and expect success - instead, you have to manage the fleet, using right types of ships at the right time, and you have to correctly identify most important pieces in enemy's game and take them out, especially since you will typically be outnumbered and outgunned. Story is engaging, while not as epic in scale as Homeworld 1's.
Summary: I still play this game at least 3 times a week. The vanilla HW2 I would give an 8 in comparison to the original Homeworld. However, the incredible mod, Homeworld:Complex bumps my rating to a 10. It's an incredible RTS and still the standard.
Summary: Lastly, SAME Comment as other two Homeworld purchases..."Max rating to any Homeworld game. Loved this series when i was young, had to own copies again. Can't complain about quality as per its age, but in its day it was groundbreaking gameplay. TO THIS DAY no other game has matched its gameplay style effectively or been able to be as fluid. Graphically it was also impressive for its time!
