Summary: This game and story is really scary once you get into it. I see all of the things that are in our country what the bad guys( the North Koreans?) are doing to us if they invaded the U.S. The graphics are not as good as M.O.H. games but their not real bad either. The game is actually challenging and the weapons are great especially the scoped sniper rifles which are my favorites. Not a bad game.
Summary: This is a fun first person shooter with a dark theme. I play these games for the single player mode and don't play online so I will only speak to that. The single player game is challenging and exciting, but has some issues with glitches and sometimes lag, however it really doesn't make the game less fun to play. I rated it a 4 because it isn't my favorite game and like I said earlier there are glitches.
Summary: The singleplayer mode was a little on the short side 6-7 hrs and for the price not a bad deal. It was fun while it lasted. The graphics are decent and game play smooth with a pretty good story line. Enjoyable.
Summary: Not necessarily underrated, it was exactly what my dad wanted. America is invaded, fight back. Haven't beaten the game yet but I like it so far and the graphics and gameplay have given me no problem. It was cheaper on steam when I bought it for myself and this physical copy requires you download steam or already have steam anyway so if you don't need to hand someone a gift it might be a better option to just gift it via email or buy it online for yourself, saving trees...
Summary: Took me just under 5 hours to complete the campaign. Seems short, but I was ready for it to be over. As others mentioned, the story is far fetched, but then nano-suited super soldiers waging war against aliens in New York City is too. It's certainly fun to play and it totally deserves its place among the better shooters out there. Just expect more of a blend-in experience than stand-out. The multiplayer is the best part of this package.
Summary: Single Player: Short... nothing much can be said about it other than that. Without giving away anything, it could have been longer in the end, as it did, well, end quite abruptly. But as a good point, it didnt pad along, everything was kept at a constant pace.. unless we are talking doors... if you dont know what I mean, just watch a bit of a play through, and you will see. Multiplayer: This was possibly the best part of the game.

Summary: I grew up during the Cold War, so I get a bit nostalgic in an odd sort of way for things that remind me of those days - beit movies, books, or, in the case of Homefront, a game. I loved Red Dawn, the film, and I can't help but think of it when playing this game. Replace the Soviets and Cubans with the North Koreans and you've pretty much got the same concept: you play as part of a guerrilla resistance trying to take back America from the "Commies.
