Summary: I think we have all been spoiled by blockbuster amazing games to point where we cant appreciate and enjoy games produced that arent necessarily blockbusters. Not every game can be a complete grand slam home run. I thought the story and gameplay was fun. Free from AI issue, no? Glitch-free, no. Best game ever, no. But was it fun and engaging, Yes. Cool story line, yes. Cool concept, yes. Fun fighting, yes. Was just short, done in a few hours.
A short game that didn't fully exploit the interesting premise

Summary: I was a fan of Red Dawn so when I first saw the trailer for HOMEFRONT, I got pretty excited. I loved how they worked in real news footage and current events to build out this terrifying vision of the future. Scattered throughout the game are dated newspapers that you can read to piece together the chain of political, economic, and military events that led up to the events in the game.
Summary: If you have 6-8hrs to d/l have at it. Took about 3 hours to d/l the game(not bad IMO on dsl) then I now have another 3-4hrs to download an update in steam WTF. I would have been better off just going to the store and buying it. I would have been playing the game 5hrs ago.
Summary: Despite the goofy premise, this game looks good and was pretty enjoyable - but I was shocked it was over so quickly. Even a casual FPS player like me was through it in about 5 hours. I tried MP, but didn't find it nearly as intuitive to get in to as say a CoD match. I may give it another go after reading some about the perks/loadouts. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase because I got it on sale and with a game credit that I used on a game I was going to buy anyway.
Summary: To the point, Homefront is a let down. I bought it for online play. Actually SP mode is better than MP online I thought. I bought the disk and you will have about five hours to download the rest of the game with a 500mbps download speed. Kinda generic I thought; why buy a disk? Can it be played later w/o an internet connection to steam? Doesn't seem to be compatible with X-Fire yet. No pics or video with X-Fire.
Summary: Homefront suffers from all the issues that modern shooters do - the gameplay is incredibly rushed, your squadmates are constantly yelling at you, the AI is like playing with your five year old brother, and it's very obviously a multi-platform release; the area in which one can move and explore is rather restricted, and why bother anyway? There's no real reward for exploring.
Pros: The graphics are very nice. The game play is reasonably fast-paced. The weapons are good - Ex.- the shotty, it actually works like a real shotgun, and has range, you can shoot a guy 20 yards out and still hit and kill him.
Cons: The biggest one of all -ITS RIDICULOUSLY SHORT- I played the campaign on the second Hardest Difficulty, and beat it in a little less than five hours. Secondly, those pretty graphics, require a rig made by some far away alien race with a 17 terabyte p
