Summary: I tried this game because the concept was different than the typical HOG game. I am getting tired of the HOG format of it always has to be something spooky and you are trying to save the world from a villain. I love crosswords and HOGs do this game is perfect for me. I find the real challenge is solving some of the riddles presented for the crossword puzzles. The graphics are good and I am now addicted to the change of pace HOG..
Summary: Quite boring really. They might as well list the clues one by one and the player click on the correct item in the scene. The crossword part is just cosmetic enhancement to the not interesting game.
Summary: The crosswords concept presented here could have been a cool one. However, I really ended up not liking this game because it ran slower than syrup in winter. If it moved faster and presented more of a challenge I would have purchased it on the spot. It has great graphics and I liked the riddles, but it became frustrating due to the slowness. In its current form I would recommend it only for a beginner or a child.
Summary: This is a great concept, and I really enjoyed playing it. The only major drawback for me was the same scenes over and over again. It really combines the best of two worlds, and hopefully sometime in the near future, someone will come up with an even more interesting combination!
Summary: When I read the other reviews of this game, I almost didn't play the demo. I'm glad I did. Yes, some of the clues were easy, but some, not so much. Also a few times I knew the answer, but dang, I couldn't find the lock or whatever. The fairy was a help, but since she didn't show you where something was; she was only helpful when you didn't know an answer to a clue. Would I run out and buy this game...probably not. However, when it comes down to 2.99, I'll jump on it.
Summary: When I first saw this game, I thought, "Wow, what a great concept." I immediately downloaded the Trial version to see how to play this game. I only played for about 25 minutes and was TOTALLY bored with the game. Then I uninstalled the game, never wanting to play it again. I love both HOG and Crossword puzzles. Why, didn't this work for me? Not really sure, but I suspect because there wasn't any story line or plot, that fact may have contribute to my being bored.
Summary: Innovative idea but less than stellar execution left me disappointed with this game. As a big crossword puzzle and HOG fan, I was excited to find someone had thought to combine the two. But the production values aren’t anywhere close to what’s currently being released (the scenes aren’t sharp and the objects not well hidden) and I didn't find the crossword clues challenging at all.
Summary: This game is quite an innovation--combine a HOG with crossword puzzles with folksy, fortune-cookie-type sayings and riddles, and you've got a pretty enjoyable product. I think the game packs quite a bit into an 80-90 Mb download. It loaded really quickly, and I like the choice of cursors (the custom one worked fine). The musical background is unobtrusive (I almost didn't notice it) and the graphics are sharp and colorful.
Summary: I thought I'd try this just because it sounded different. I've never been a big fan of crossword puzzles because the vague clues often frustrate me. So this came across as just the right amount of difficulty for someone who likes the HOG's, but also like to figure out puzzles. But as others have mentioned here...If you're a big fan of crosswords you'll most likely find this way too simple.
Summary: Interesting idea, so I downloaded the demo right away. I'm a fan of crossword puzzles and HOG's, so thought I'd like this mix of the two. The puzzles are way too easy, though. I like more of a challenge, so was disappointed.
