Summary: I bought this game from Amazon for my son for Christmas. As it turned out, he couldn't play it because there was some kind of key that was required during installation, and it had been used by whoever it was that had played it/owned it before. I didn't look into this when I first bought it - I found out when I went to re-sell it at a local used game dealer, who explained the whole thing to me. So, I felt ripped off.
Summary: well i am a pc gamer and i bought halo 2 and i ha it for my xbox and loved it well i got it for my pc and it turns out Microsoft has this server that they took down for the game to install so when i tryed it the game just did not work :( i called the number and they told me that they do not support halo 2 for the pc anymore, like any pc gamer will fall for that junk so i wasted about $25 on a game that i cant play or return because it was sealed in the box oh well id...
Summary: The Product Key for this game is not recognized by Microsoft anymore. I can still install it, and get to the main menu, but when I try to play it, the game tells me my product key is invalid! I just installed the game, on my computer with it. From what I read on the Microsoft Board I was directed to, almost everyone is having this problem. AND Microsoft does not care about helping us to solve the problem.
Summary: WHEN I PURCHASED THE GAME (HALO 2)IT WAS NOT IDENTIFIED TO ME THAT THE GAME ONLY WORKS WITH WINDOWS VISTA. AS I HAVE WINDOWS 7 I WAS UNABLE TO OPEN AND PLAY THE GAME. THEREFORE IT WAS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.
Summary: Bought this game thinking -OH BOY, I'm going to shootem up now. but found out I had to buy an xbox controler to play the game. Ok Ibought the controler and ready to have some fun. What a waste of money, Even with the controler the game was so choppy I could hardly play the game. oh by the way if you upgrade to Windows7, The game will not play.
Summary: I bought this item as a Christmas gift for my grandson. Neither he or his father can get to run on their Windows Vista computer. I saya that it does not enogh resources, but fails to explain what resources are difficient. Now they can't reinstall it on another computer because windows live thinks it is already installed and working. I am not satisfied with the copy protection program that will not let the use it properly.
Summary: Tried to load the game on Win 7 and Vista PCs. It was supposed to be for Vista. Did not work on either system. Got to reading about installation...update this, download that....I just wanted to check out Halo. Don't bother.
Summary: Be careful when buying this version of Halo. The box says it requires a pc with a rating of 5 or better. My pc has 8 gigs of ram,a 2 terrabyte 7200 rpm sato hard drive, nvidia GE Force 6200 LE video card and Windows Vista 32 bit, It's performance rating is only 2.2, I don;t get it but maybe you do. THat really sucks. Don;t waste your money. Oh yeah, Windows stopped supporting Vista after service pack 2.
Summary: this is an xbox game and not made for PC playing. The keyboard set up does not work more than half the time. I have tried to customize keys to play like Halo one and it fails to set the commands to the assigned keys. For instance; the screen tells me to hold the "R" key to switch weapons and when I do, it does nothing. I set the command to another key and it still says hold the "R" key.
Summary: I bought (or rather "bought", since they didn't actually sell it to me) Halo 2 over the Xbox version, since this version obviously has higher graphic settings, plus has achievement points, which (ironically) the Xbox version lacks. Unfortunately, it also contains activation. I assume since it's published by Microsoft that it works however Windows and Office's arcane activation rules work.
