NOT SURE HOW THE GAME IS...BUT MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT OPERATING SYSTEM, WHICH WAS A MAJOR ERROR ON MY PART.

Summary: this is a copy of the email that I sent to Good Luck Bargains. I didn't realize that since I had Windows 7 that the game wouldn't play. I thought that since the system was upgraded that the game would sort of be grandfathered into the new operating system. I now know that that isn't the case. This is an error that will not be made again on my part. My son wanted Halo 2, which was a birthday gift.
Summary: I bought this game from Amazon for my son for Christmas. As it turned out, he couldn't play it because there was some kind of key that was required during installation, and it had been used by whoever it was that had played it/owned it before. I didn't look into this when I first bought it - I found out when I went to re-sell it at a local used game dealer, who explained the whole thing to me. So, I felt ripped off.
Summary: well i am a pc gamer and i bought halo 2 and i ha it for my xbox and loved it well i got it for my pc and it turns out Microsoft has this server that they took down for the game to install so when i tryed it the game just did not work :( i called the number and they told me that they do not support halo 2 for the pc anymore, like any pc gamer will fall for that junk so i wasted about $25 on a game that i cant play or return because it was sealed in the box oh well id...
Summary: This game is essentially an expensive drink coaster. I bought this game in November of 2012 when I was stuck at my in-law's house with just my wife's Windows 7 laptop and needed a Halo fix. The installation process was fine but when I wanted to start the game it asked to input a Windows Live ID or create a new one. Unfortunately my existing ID didn't work and neither did a new one I created.
Summary: Halo 2 for Vista arrived today and I was excited to install it on my brand new windows 7 64 box. It has a WEI of 7.1 so I figured that it would run quite happily. Not so fast. The game seemed to install fine (I opted to install the game fully before playing) and I entered the product key. Upon launching the game, my resolution changed to 1080 and I got an error that read something like "There is a problem with Windows Live. It might be running already.
Summary: WARNING DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. I bought this when I upgraded my PC to windows 7 and had been wanting to play it but couldn't because I was using XP. When it arrived I went and installed it first thing. It installed fine and accepted the key. But when I went to bring up windows live for games it said my key is invalid and to re-enter. I did this several times with no luck.
Summary: The Product Key for this game is not recognized by Microsoft anymore. I can still install it, and get to the main menu, but when I try to play it, the game tells me my product key is invalid! I just installed the game, on my computer with it. From what I read on the Microsoft Board I was directed to, almost everyone is having this problem. AND Microsoft does not care about helping us to solve the problem.
