Ridiculously Buggy

Expletius "lukeparker", Amazon
12 August 2010
  • Summary: I've owned this game on four different PC's - every single one of them has had Crashes to Desktop enough times that it has made me put it back on the dusty shelf for several years at a time. I don't think I've ever been able to get past the opening few missions without it dying on me.

Pure love for space

L. Pope "Althaluss", Amazon
26 August 2008
  • Summary: If your debating whether to buy this game then hear me out first as this review should make life a little easier. Im a huge fan of my space themed strategy games such as EVE Online, Star Wars: Empire at war etc. This game is truely stunning.

Space battles and aliens

Geeberino, Play.com
27 June 2005
  • Conclusion: This game has great graphics and was a step up from the popular Homeworld series. However, there was a definite lack of scalability and you quickly find yourself reaching the limit in the number of ships you are allowed.

Now THIS is serious stuff

Matthew Woor, Amazon
18 February 2004
  • Summary: This game, whether like me you're a strategy game nut or a role play enthusiast is quite simply awesome. The ability to take a world, or a solar system and creat a galactic superpower is incredibly addictive.

Not bad, but doesn't try hard enough

Mark, Amazon
14 August 2003
  • Summary: As a fan of the Homeworld series I was eagerly awaiting a game which touted itself in a similar style. What I bought was a game which had the same amazing graphics but none of the gameplay. Haegemonia tries hard.

Graphics are awesome

Jean-paul Kneip, Amazon
8 March 2003
  • Summary: This is a really good game. The first thing that struck me was the quality of the graphics - They could actually trick you into thinking that what you were seeing is a computer generated FMV sequence. - The fire effects and explosions more generally actually look like explosions!

The Future of RTS space strategy

R D Ryan, Amazon
2 February 2003
  • Summary: A truly awe inspiring game. The first aspect that strikes you is the amazing LOD graphics engine. On my AMD 1.2 Ghz, ATI Radeon 7500 machine it looks sensantional and rarely misses a frame.

Close - very good but not quite 5 star systems

"lloobee", Amazon
24 January 2003
  • Summary: Generally very good game, it has a complex enough set of mechanics (without being overly complex as some games in the RTS / empire building genre are). The graphics are wonderfully pretty (and the explosions in battle are very good)(though all the objects are way too big - it's a strategy game not...

Brilliant!

"joeforster", Amazon
27 December 2002
  • Summary: This is the best strategy game I've played in a while. The graphics are very pretty but if your PC isnt that good you can always put the graphics right down. It goes quite smoothly then on my P650, but the planets look pretty bad then.
