Guild Wars: Nightfall

Fragland
26 June 2012

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron Review

GamerNode
15 September 2011
  • Excerpt: No game review before has prompted the use of the word “deuterocanonical” and, optimistically, never will again. The source material for El Shaddai is the deuterocanonical (non-Protestant Christian Old Testament, outside the Hebrew Bible) Book of Enoch, a religious text as obtuse as the game’s driving artistic shades. Player’s become the Metatron, a suspiciously under-documented mediary angel intervening for God with man.
  • Pros: Gorgeous, surreal art design, Thought-provoking narrative
  • Cons: Disconnected, repetitive fighting and platforming segments, Linear level design

50 Cent: Blood on the Sand

Game Boyz
10 September 2010
  • Excerpt: It's rare for a sequel to outshine the original, but that's the case with THQ's recent release 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand, an interesting follow-up to 2006's less than spectacular, yet commercially successful, 50 Cent: Bulletproof. Available on both the Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3 this over-the-top adventure lets you play as the buff "Fiddy," who battles enemies in a fictitious war-torn Middle-Eastern country along with members of his G-Unit crew.

Guild Wars Nightfall

Strategy Informer
17 January 2008
  • Conclusion: Guild Wars Nightfall is a great chapter and one that can easily be picked up and played through for beginners like myself without becoming bewildered by past game lore. Don’t be afraid to give the Land of the Golden Sun a long stay.

Free online fantasy RPG has some violence.

Common Sense Media
14 December 2007
  • Summary: Parents need to know that like the previous Guild Wars massively multiplayer online games (MMOG), combat is an integral part of the game. Players attack and kill computer and human-controlled opponents with swords, and other medieval weaponry, but there's no blood. Parents also should be aware that outfits and players can remove their character's clothes down to their underwear. There is a filter, but online communication can be unpredictable.

Guild Wars Nightfall

Gaming Evolution
27 October 2007
  • Conclusion: Though there are a few shortcomings within Nightfall, this title still offers up a unique and very deep gameplay experience that combines inklings of massive multiplayer gaming, action-based RPGs, the strategic prowlness of Magic the Gathering, and competitive action games all rolled up into one. So if you are looking for something along these lines, or just an engaging experience, this is your best bet.

Guild Wars Nightfall Review (PC)

About.com
19 May 2007
  • Conclusion: Guild Wars breaks the RPG mold in many ways, and does it with style. Henchman and Heroes make it very easy to sit down for a brief session that is action packed, whether you want to take some friends with you or tackle it yourself. It's a dramatic change from spending half an hour looking for an eligible healer to fill out your group as is often the case in other games.
