  • Summary: My least favorite GW expansion. Everything that was great about Prophecies is still here, but it just feels like more of the same. The faction war could have been great but just ended up not being interesting at all.

  • Summary: As good overall as Guild wars Prophecies. Better pvp then the first one. Nice maps of factions vs factions (borderlands). Fight against Shiro. Asiatic landscapes. New continent (Cantha) different from Tyria.

  • Summary: Very good campaign for a very good game, still just as fun and as addictive, especially with the new classes. An entire new area is opened up and ready for exploration, with the best part being it doesn't burn a hole in your wallet!

AndyCreig..., Ciao
25 May 2009
  • Excerpt: "Guild Wars Factions is the first expansion pack for the original Guild Wars. While it can be used as a standalone package and does not require the original Guild Wars to play, you get the most benefit from owning the both of them. However I will be reviewing Factions as an expansion to the original Guild Wars, if you would like to find out what Guild Wars is all about check my previous review here: http://www.ciao.co.uk/Guild_Wars_PC__Review_5839765 Factions ...
  • Pros: Alliance Battles, More Skills, New Professions, More Characer Slots

  • Summary: $70.00 for a computer game? If that is not a rip off then I'll eat my hat. I will not buy any computer games from amazon.ca because the games they have in stock are over a year old!

Oriental Excellence

lukemufc, Ciao
22 March 2008
  • Excerpt: "The second release in the Guild Wars series, Factions is a beautifully crafted oriental experience in the MMORPG world created by NCSoft, the game is easy to learn but can throw you in at the deep end, if you can find some friends to play with and co-ordinate good strategies even the most tricky of situations can be overcome, the community in Guild Wars is not as foul mouthed as can be found in a lot of online games and often the community can be ...
  • Pros: Good Community,  Good Gameplay, Great Musical Score

Guild Wars: Factions (PC)

Rex Inego, Verdicts
12 December 2007
  • Excerpt: The original Guild Wars was released last year to huge critical acclaim, predominantly because it was one of the first MMORPG?s (massively multiplayer online role playing games) to have no monthly fees attached.

Guild wars

salty154, Ciao
25 November 2007
  • Excerpt: "Guild wars is a great MMORPG which can be bought for £10 and has no subscription fee's. it goes around the same rout as most mmorpg's however with the tedious fighting styles as world of warcraft and there is a level cap of only 20 which i found to be quite annoying. there are 7 proffessions you can choose ranging from warrior all the way down to necromancer. when you enter the game after creating your character you will be in the beautiful region ...
