Summary: I almost didn't buy this one because I wsn't that impressed with the demo. But when Big Fish had a sale, I decided to give it another try and I'm glad I did. The story gets better further into the game, and the areas you explore become more interesting. The main game has you playing as Alice, a female investigator of the paranormal, who travels to Witchville to meet with her friend and coworker Ethan and help solve the mystery of what happened in Witchville.
Summary: Vogat is one developer that I have my eye on, and Witchville certainly didn't disappoint, as a mystery iHOG with spooky elements. Gameplay doesn't deter from the usual formula - so we have the HOG searches, the puzzles, inventory item usage etc. Inventory items can be combined in the toolbar.
Summary: I don’t have much to add to previous reviews: I agree this is a nice, well done game from Vogat. It actually ended up being more enjoyable than I expected from the demo. I thought adding a little bit of the human condition to the ‘ghost/curse/crazy scientist’ scenario was a nice touch. Who knows how many other spooked out towns are the result of marital bickering??
