Summary: Best graphics strategy series. Always in my memory. I don't think about gameplay because of its really stunning graphics (good optimised either). Graphic measure. Iconic. I regret this game series died.
Summary: The game is perfect, exellent story, good characters, lots of units and shooting, just perfect. Camera is great when you used to it, gameplay is 100% pure fun and best part of this game is story ....I will say no more, play it...
Summary: So why do I think that this Game rocks ? So lets get started : The Graphics : have been the very best , when it came out . Even today , when i play this game on my really new and strong XPS Computer i am impressed by the level of Detail , the big environments , the ability to zoom so close that you can see every Detail on the Soldiers . Cars , Signs everything you would expect from a City at War ; you can look into the destroyed buildings and see your Soldiers there .
Excerpt: Following on from the game that was Ground Control 1, Ground Control 2 brings a new theme of game to the PC, which many Command & Conquer veterans may recognise. The game features a singleplayer Campaign mode, where you battle through a series of 10 missions for either the Virons, a futuristic-type species, or the NSA, who are the humans in the game. Each campain features a nice storyline, which ties into each other later in the game.
Excerpt: It's hard to think of RTS' without thinking of the classics; Dune, Command and Conquer, Warcraft, etc The big problem with RTS' I find is the whole "power in numbers" problem. Basically what I mean is, you build up your base, build as many units as you can and go out and defeat the enemy. There is no strategy, only power in numbers. The more units you have, the more chance you have of winning and quicker. Where's the fun or strategy in that?
Pros: Strategic - the way it's meant to be . Mods freely available .
Excerpt: I have played C&C games for many years and was always left wanting more; more from the units, maps, strategies etc etc. Ground Control 2was the answer, it took a little getting used to due to the differences with C&C in terms of the interface, but after a short period of time it became fluid and intuitive. The campaign gives you the opportunity to play as two different races with the same goal.
Pros: Great control of units and cameras . Unit diversity allow for many different strategies for each mission .
Cons: Booklet uninformative and dull . Can't play as one of the races .
Excerpt: The original Ground Control is excellent, yet relatively unheard of. In the world of strategy C&C is king. This little piece of strategic gaming loveliness has potential and ability however to make people sit up and notice there is more than one franchise in this genre. Ground Control 2 : Operation Exodus leads on from the original, although don't worry, the story line is fully explained so new comers will not feel alienated.
Pros: Strangely Addictive, Runs well even on lower spec machines, Very short learning curve
