Pros: great game for those of u r a fan of the GTA series
Cons: multiplayer is no longer supported since it requires the Games For Windows LIVE network and microsoft took it down sometime last year. so even though it might be tempting to buy since its only 6 bucks, multiplayer for this game can only be played on the console versions, so i suggest you get it for a console instead of the pc
Summary: The key did work for steam as advertised, however, it didn't work with their built in system gfwl, which I still didn't get to work. Leading to me not being able to save any game progress or achievements. It's playable, but only without saving and achievements.
Summary: Simply put, this is an absolutely terrible port to PC. In my case, I got it through steam, but have to sign in to Games For Windows Live AS WELL as steam to play it, and Rockstar Social Club ON TOP OF THAT to play multiplayer. What the frack. It also installs an unneeded third party anti-piracy program (SecuROM) to your computer, which mainly serves to cause more problems when it malfunctions, yet is invasive and restricting enough to have had class-sction lawsuits filed...
Summary: the buildings and ground wont load and people and cars will not spawn tried messing with some of the text within the game and almost able to get it to work correctly good thing it was only $7.50 during the sale
Summary: I should have listened to the reviewers. I am running a pretty good system: i5-2500k overclocked to 4.5 ghz CrossfireX HD 6950's, shader unlocked, and overclocked to 930/1375. I have the settings on the best possible, with the viewing distance down to 10, and while the game is beautful, any time I move the camera, I get insane choppiness and my FPS drops to the teens. Don't buy this game.
Summary: I love GTA IV on the Xbox- so I thought it would be fun to play on the PC. It took the 13GB several hours to download; so much for my impulse purchase !-) Then I went to install it and was informed that installation of the game requires the installation of Sony DADC SecuROM- which is a notorious virus/DRM system that will be very hard to remove from the system. I found removal instructions that went on for 5 pages!
