  • Conclusion: The Wrap-up: Despite the performance issues, Grand Theft Auto 3 is still a masterpiece. With an excellent storyline, dynamite visuals, outstanding audio, and state-of-the-art gameplay, GTA 3 emerges as one of the best single player games on the PC platform. If you haven't played the PS2 version and want to fully experience the days in the life of a thug living in Liberty City, then grab the PC version.

  • Conclusion: Of course, much attention has been given to one minor aspect of the free-form game design: the invitation to ultra-violence. Certainly, that aspect of the game is hard to ignore. Any person walking the street, whether he or she is a pimp, a prostitute or a bag lady is fair game. Many players get a cathartic charge out of walking around the city mugging, maiming, killing and car jacking.
