too involved for a turn based game

B. L. Hoover, Amazon
30 May 2013
  • Summary: This game is not very easy to learn as it is too involved. Plus being a turn based game makes it even more difficult to be able to enjoy.

Its fun, then your city burns down.

J. Hollander "Review Reader", Amazon
15 May 2013
  • Summary: Its a pretty easy and fun game, but I gave up on it after a week, cause I would spend 2 hours making a city, then it would burn down. There was not one single time that I ever played, that I did not give up due to my city burning down in 4 minutes.

  • Summary: I liked the game up until the solider options were available. I play Total War games so maybe that was what was boring about this one.

To complex and does not really fulfill its possible greatness

Amazon Customer, Amazon
24 February 2011
  • Summary: Sorry, it was disappointing to me, to many limitations on building, Population revolts, and stupid building Rules ruined this game for me and my kids. You spend 80% of your time trying to learn the Building rules and keeping the Peoples from torching all you have managed to get built. I am in agreement with a previous reviewer that the Combat Scenarios were added only as a second thought and really were made to difficult to obtain even playing in Easiest or Novice mode.

Yetti, Amazon
2 February 2010
