The game features detailed citybuilding alongside RTS combat, and extensive online and LAN multiplayer connectivity that allows gamers to play competitively or cooperatively.The game’s scale is far beyond the city of Rome, allowing players to experience all areas of the Roman Empire by land and sea. Features

Grand Ages: Rome features 4X Real-Time Strategy where games can explore and journey to ancient Gaul, Britannia, Egypt, and more to colonize barbarians and establish new trade routes; expand and stake their claim throughout the known world in the name of Rome and help build the empire through military conquest and economic prowess; exploit natural resources as they establish farming, mining, and logging operations; and exterminate enemies who stand in the way of Rome's glory. Players are required to defend their territories by land and sea to secure peace and prosperity for the empire. The game features 18 different military units, like Archers, Equestri, Bow Maidens, Ballista, Praetorian Guard, Secutores, Gladiators, War Elephants, naval command, and mercenary forces. This involves recruiting citizens of Rome, drafting captured enemy forces, and paying foreign squads for their special skills. It also features online multiplayer functionality with 6 different strategy modes that gamers will be able to play competitively or cooperatively. Gamers can create buddy lists and challenge friends to a battle, or use the matching system and take on an unknown foe with the same skill level to advance career and increase rank from praetor to consul and beyond. The game has over 40 missions in it non-linear historical campaign with more than 20 different historical figures. Celebrate victories by erecting legendary monuments such as the Coliseum, Circus Maximus, the Pantheon, and more. The game also involves complex economy management through flow resources that eliminate tedious micromanagement, giving gamers the freedom to create thriving cities with multileveled economic systems. Information overlays visualize the city economy and satisfaction of the people on every location on the map.
