Ghostbusters - The Video Game

Gamezebo
14 July 2010
  • Summary: Phantom hauntings and malevolent ghosts are typically explored in grisly horror films and creepier flicks, but the iconic Ghostb
  • Pros: Super authentic to the films. Incredibly fun Ghostbusting gameplay. Hilarious dialogue by the movie’s actors.
  • Cons: Requires a moderately powerful graphics card and computer to run smoothly on high settings.

Triggering Nostalgia

  • Excerpt: In a purely theatrical "The lady dost protest too much" move, Square insisted that a PlayStation port of several Super Nintendo games simply wasn't in the cards. It came as a pleasant surprise after all the subterfuge that two classics would indeed be brought to the slavering masses included Final Fantasy IV and Chrono Trigger , a solid game that shone brightly when first released, and was a smash success during the re-release as well.

  • Excerpt: The Ghostbusters game has created quite a lot of controversy in the gaming world, more specifically that the XBox 360 and PC version were held back due to Sony but thankfully this embargo has been lifted and now PC users can enjoy the "official" game which is considered the third movie in the franchise.

Ghostbusters The Video Game Review

Zeitgeist Review
27 October 2009
  • Summary: All in all, Ghostbusters The Video game is brilliant.  This is the first time I’ve played a Ghostbusters game and actually felt like I was one of the Ghostbusters.  The graphics are great, they story feels like it should be the script for the next movie, and the game-play is retarded fun.  Seriously, my only negative to this game is the lack of co-op campaign play, but as long as Xbox Live remains active with this title, this game is going to be fun for a long time!

Ghostbusters: The Video Game

The Armchair Empire
5 August 2009
  • Conclusion: right from the beginning that they haven't lost their visual chops.  The digital reproductions of the original cast members are all spot on.  There's no possibility you're going to mistake one person for another.  It only gets better from there.  Terminal Reality seems to have closely followed the artistic style of the two movies when it comes to creating a whole new batch of spooks, specters, and ghosts for the player to take on while also bringin back some old...

Fat Princess

Hooked Gamers
3 August 2009
  • Conclusion: Fat Princess is hilarious and is incredibly fun to play. It is easily one of the PlayStation 3's best downloadable games yet. The trophies and unlockable character options, as well as the promise of future downloadable content should keep you coming back for more. Sure, the combat is a bit shallow but that just makes it easily accessible. And besides, the team strategy involved in playing the game adds a lot of depth.
  • Pros: Excellent graphics and sound, genuinely funny, solid controls and good amount of strategic depth. Great value for your money.
  • Cons: Bot AI is stupid to the point of controller-chucking frustration. Connection issues.

Fat Princess

  • Excerpt: A little over a month ago, while reading an article about some of the must own titles from the PlayStation Store, I discovered a game known as Fat Princess. Though the title of the game did not inspire much enthusiasm at first, but once I discovered that it was an adventure strategy game with a hack & slash combat system my interest was piqued.

Ghostbusters:The Video Game (PC)

6 July 2009
  • Excerpt: For those who loved the Ghostbusters movies you’ll feel like you’re in them.  You’re a part of the team as you play the new recruit named “rookie”.  They named you rookie so they don’t get too attached to you.  Since you have the least seniority, you get the honor of testing all of their experimental equipment.  Ghostbusters: The Videogame stays true to the characters and environment, and all of the original voice actors reprise their roles.
  • Pros: This game is true to the movie series.  Excellent graphics and voice acting.
  • Cons: Short game play, no multiplayer on PC version
