Garshasp: The Monster Slayer Accessibility Review

ablegamers.com
8 August 2011
  • Excerpt: If you don't know who Garshasp is, you may want to brush up on your Persian mythology. Garshasp is, if you couldn't tell from the title, a mythological monster slayer and the main character of this game by Fanafzar Game Studios. This studio is based in Iraq and made the game using free software with a team of about nine people. It's a very ambitious action game, but falls a bit short when it comes to accessibility.

Garshasp: The Monster Slayer PC Review

DarkZero
14 June 2011
  • Excerpt: The best independent games tend to be associated with simple, refreshing or unique gameplay mechanics or design, while normally restricted in scope. Dead Mage Studio on the other hand has gone for the ambitious challenge of tackling the action genre, drawing comparison with the epic series God of War . Garshasp: the Monster Slayer is inspired by Persian mythology, and follows the tale of a warrior.

Garshasp: The Monster Slayer im Test

GameStar
10 August 2011
  • Pros: solide Animationen, guter Off-Sprecher, gelungene Musikuntermalung, drei Schwierigkeitsgrade, stimmiger Dschungelabschnitt, gelegentliche Bossgegner …, Waffen sammeln Erfahrung, eingängige Kombos …, gelungene Zwischensequenzen
  • Cons: manchmal ungünstige Beleuchtung, recht polygonarm, gelegentliche Sound-Aussetzer, kein freies Speichern, Niveau schwankt, karge und sterile Umgebungen, leblose Welt, spärlich gesäte Speicherpunkte, oft ungünstig positionierte Kamera, störrische Eingabe-Annahme, Maus-/Tastatur-Steuerung mäßig, nur drei Spielabschnitte, kurze Spielzeit, kein Wiederspielwert, unsichtbare Levelbegrenzungen, nervige, fehlerintolerante Geschicklichkeitseinlagen, streng linear, … die aber ka...

Review: "Garshasp: The Monster Slayer" (PC)

gamingxp.com
27 July 2011
  • Pros: Gute Animationen, Zwischensequenzen
  • Cons: Kamera-Position, Steuerung, zu wenig Story

Garshasp - The Monster Slayer (pc)

GBase
4 July 2011
  • Pros: Nette Kampfanimationen, Gelungene Hintergrundmusik
  • Cons: Karge, leblose Umgebungen, Bodentexturen schwach, Kurze Spielzeit, Kameraperspektive oft ungünstig, Standardgegner langweilen
