Summary: Pretty much the last of the great flight sim/rpg/space opera games, Freelancer is not without it's flaws, mostly related to odd balance choices and dated graphics, but is still a great deal of fun. It's strengths are a good story, great voice acting, fun combat, and an active multiplayer community to this day. If you like space sims, this is by far the best choice - until at least the likes of Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous or the new X game comes out.
Summary: in perfect condition, game works great only problem is the mod for star wars i wanted to install does not work properly but thats more with my settings not the game. Awesome old school space sim. We need more of these.
Summary: The seller was Amazon. I purchased it new for 10 bucks. The graphics are fine for 2003. The controls, sounds, and game play are also okay. It has some role playing elements to it, but it's basic in that regard; I don't consider it an RPG...it's more of an action adventure game. While on-planet, you go from location to location by selecting the area (i.e., it's not like first person where you can walk around and explore).
Summary: I bought this a a replacement for my disk which had been lost years ago. It is the same game I remember with a real case instead of a little cardboard envelope. It was priced a little higher than it used to be in stores but since you can't get the game anywhere besides online this is a non-issue.
Summary: I had this game in the past and really enjoyed it. Finding it here was wonderful. As a game, it is great. I wish more games had the open and 'free' concept that this game has. The battle simulations are fun and the dialogue is well thought out.
Summary: I purchased this game cause I love how big the maps are. I did download the 4.86 Discovery Freelancer which had a lot of awesome upgrades for the game. I have spent countless hours playing!! I highly recommend this game to anyone that likes space games.
I'm playing freelancer to prepare for Star Citizen!
