Summary: Im a HUGE fan of this series, Ive been playing it since 99. I have seen how the game has changed throughout the years. There have been editions were the game stayed practically the same; this is one of them. The greatest problem FM has right now, is the lack of real competition. The franchise needs that to progress and become a better game. PROS - Better training and tactic tool than its predecessor. - Better pitch graphics.
Summary: I fell in love with this series a long time ago and have dedicated ridiculous amounts of hours in the meantime. However 2013 and 2014 editions of the game have been a giant step backwards in both enjoyment and fluidity of play, now in terms of realism it may well have improved to the point that if you want to be even semi-successful within the game you have to analyse games and tweak tactics endlessly until you have a tactic that 'works' which then the AI becomes aware...
Summary: To begin with, I'd like to emphasise that I am a huge fan of this series. Since the early 00s, I've played Football Manager (formerly Championship Manager) and I've spent (or wasted) many weekends strategising signings, tactics and training schedules, and thoroughly enjoyed doing so. Indeed, I've done the same thing with 2014 incarnation, but not to anywhere near the same level of enjoyment.
Summary: Firstly I was horrified at the Steam platform it drove me crazy trying to load the game and subsequently interfered with the running of the game thereafter. Not a good start.....then the game which I haven't played for about 4 years disappointed me( shouldn't have listened to the hype) the graphics didn't seem any different still very unrealistic.

Summary: This is the first impression I have got from the game. Tried a few workarounds in the forum, such as the clearbeta option (s.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3019674) - did not work either.
Summary: I'm so disappointed with this version. Tactical familiarity has been introduced as a concept so you have to spend months of training just to get your players to accept your tactics. It kills any kind of tactical experimentation and makes it more of a grind than it's worth. It's only one feature but it completely ruins the experience.
Summary: I never write reviews but after being a FM fan for over a decade I feel I must vent about this latest version. In short it is a complete disaster. The fun has been truly sucked out of Football Manager and unless SI can vastly improve next year I can't see myself purchasing FM again. The introduction of Steam a few years ago did not help matters and has made updating the game difficult and frustrating.
Summary: It pains me to be negative about a series of games I love, but the continuing theme of releasing a game which is unfinished and then patching it later is getting tiresome. It was released in October and now here we are in February - a full 4 months down the line - and there are still serious flaws with the match engine.
Summary: First of all, I had never played FM before (just for info/demographic, mid-late thirties, have been playing Fifa CM for about a year now and wanted something more). I have only been playing for a few days, so some thing might be I just haven't got round to learning - and this is one of my main issues - it just takes far too long to get to grips wit the game, you either give over your life to it in order to start playing straight away or spend days just to learn about the...
Summary: So i dont buy every football manager game. I can play one for 2 or 3 years before i buy an update. So know that the last one i played is 2012. However also know that i'm not terrible at the game. I'm average to good, and always do pretty well after trying different things out. This one however anyone would think i am absolutely terrible at it. We'll come onto that soon and why that is. The first things to note are my perceptions of whats new.
