  • Conclusion: Let's start off by saying that you will really struggle to find a game with more depth than football management sims, so you may be overwhelmed with the prospect at first, but don't lose your patience and be done with it, because this is a hugely entertaining and addictive game if you persevere with it!

Football simulation at it's finest.

SteveOssy, Play.com

  • Conclusion: A deep and rewarding simulation of the beautiful game. I feared this maybe a bit boring next to PES 2011 and FIFA 11 as you are watching the action happen rather then interacting with the action yourself. There is something incredibly addicting and OCD about the game which will keep you constantly coming back to it. Also the intergration of Steam Works and Steam achievements is very welcome.

  • Conclusion: This is the best football management game, there are a few niggles obviously but these can be fixed by updating the game with the downloadable patches. Worth the buy, trust me!

  • Excerpt: "...in 1992, the market of football management simulation games has improved each and every year with a new title coming out roughly every year. Since the break-up between Eidos and Sports Interactive, the Football Manager series has dominated the market in my opinion. With every new release, there have been more and more features added to the game and Football Manager 2011 is no different. It has a lot of changes from Football Manager 2010 including ...

  • Excerpt: "...Championship Manager series in 2005, Football Manager has continued to build on the success of its predecessor, improving every year in a seemingly relentless drive towards management simulation perfection. Football Manager 2011 makes few changes to last season’s version of the game, but existing features have been improved and the changes that have been made only add to an already rich and engrossing experience. For those unfamiliar with the series, ...

  • Excerpt: "Football Manager is, in general, a great series, and the newest edition, 2011, is no different and is definitely an improvement on past editions. The 3D graphics have improved with better animations and the players celebrate when they score. There is also, in my opinion, an improved interface, and the messages are grouped together nicely according to when they are received. I particularly the new live chat with players and their agents when discussing ...
  • Pros: New interface, better graphics, live chat
  • Cons: Can get too addictive, press conferences and team talks as boring as ever
