Summary: I bought FSX so that I could utilize the Captain Sim 707 add-on as I plan to spend time in a B707 full-motion simulator. I found FSX to be an excellent training program with accurate flight profiles of the Cessna 172 and Piper Archer, both of which I have logged considerable time in actual aircraft as pilot-in-command. Especially when coupled with the Captain Sim add-on programs, I found this simulation to be very helpful in procedures and aircraft-specific operations.
This program works well, delivered on time. Yeeeehhhhaaaaawwwww.

Summary: Well MSFS has been a great tool and lots of fun for years and years. One complaint is the realism with certain aircraft. The R22 helicopter simply does not autorotate which is crap! And the bell jet ranger does autorotate but you lose all rotor rpm and thus stall the rotor blades when you slow down to low airspeed which is so far from the truth it hurts. The powered hang glider trike overstresses in flight very easily.
Summary: I have been playing Flight Simulator since the days that DOS was the only operating system (pre Windoze), that version was FS v6.0 - then I next went up to FS95 and so forth. Latest version I had, before I bought FSX, was FS2002. FSX KICKS BUTT over 2002! Far superior to any previous versions before it!! I am NOT a fan of Microsoft - as far as I am concerned, Windows is just bloatware, but they have done a really good job with this!
