Old version works better, but graphics not as good.

Summary: I have 2002 MS Flight Simulator which always worked fine. I thought 2010 (8 years newer) should be great, but it's not as good as 2002 FS to me. The graphics are better, but too good. I think they take so much to run, it takes away from controls and smooth working of the program. I like flying the lessons and doing the check rides. The private pilot works OK, but the instrument and commercial check rides and some lessons do not work properly.
Summary: My son bought this and was so excited to "train" as a pilot! Unfortunately, we have Windows 8.1 and it will not register the product. We have tried every patch we can find online, running in compatibility mode, everything we can think of and it will not work. It's quite disappointing. Before buying, my son checked online to see if it was compatible, and it was listed as compatible on the website he checked.
Summary: While the planes and their graphics are fine, I was very disappointed with the view of the ground. It is very blurry and almost cartoonish in appearance. The view out of a real plane at thirty thousand feet is more distinct than at a few hundred feet in the simulator. Also the claim that there are over 50 aircraft available is misleading.
Summary: It was a good addition to my flight simulator because it has jets with real airline labels. However, it was a little outdated with older planes that are not in service and older liveries of some airlines. Plus, the just flight push back car cannot connect to planes although it is fun to drive around the airport in. Also, the control tower is not a real control tower which was not what I was hoping for. However, overall it is a good addition to my flight simulator.
Summary: It may be my computer, but I had trouble loading this program. It is the second one I have bought (I lost a disc from the first one). Also, when the graphics are advanced, the planes do not respond smoothly to the controls.
