Summary: Terrible Flight Sim. The worst Microsoft has ever offered. Microsoft has designed the graphics so there are no third party scenery designers and what you see is what you get. That is not enough. The 3D cockpit panels suck too.. I give this one a 2 out of 10 and apparently Microsoft agrees with me because they have not offered a new flight sim in five years. DON'T BUY THIS ONE. IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY!!!!
Summary: I've been using FSX for a couple of years now. I'd originally downloaded it from Microsoft. Over time I lost the information needed to download it again when I wanted to reinstall it. Now that I have the physical disks from Amazon I won't have to worry about a repeat of the problem. . FSX was officially released to the US market on October 17, 2006. It's no longer under development BY MICROSOFT, but that hasn't stopped it from selling and being popular.
Freezes/closes for no reason on my Windows 7 computer

Summary: I'm a rare reviewer, but just couldn't help but warn others on this one. As a student pilot, I very much wanted this software to help with ground training and reduce expensive flight time (It was recommended by my flight school). I even bought the yoke to complement it. This software is so buggy on my 2012 Windows 7 machine that I wasted so much time rebooting and trying to get it to work right.
Summary: Im Using FSX Gold Edition For The Whole Time, All I Can Say is, A REALLY EXCELLENT GAME! The Scenery Is Breathtaking, With Tons of Add-ons Like Airbus X and PMDG with ORBX Scenery and some realistic free add-ons Now That Is Real As It GETS! Even Though It Lags On My Computer (Not Super Lag, Only A Little.) It Still Awesome! I Will Rate This A 5/5 Stars, And You Know What Is Great?
Summary: I have been flying using Microsoft's Flight Simulator since the original version came out in the mid 1980, so I have more than a passing familiarity with this particular program. I have also used this program for decades to fault-test computers meant to handle a lot of graphics, that are also very demanding on processors and generate a lot of thermal heating of the computer.
Summary: My 11 year old boys really like this. It has tons of details that of the things you would normally have to do if you were actually flying these planes. I purchased a cool joystick to go with this and it just makes the flying so much more realistic and fun.
