The Himalayas pack on the other hand, boasts Lago's largest ever scenery expansion, a whopping 2.5 million square kilometers and a fearsome range of mountains including Everest, which makes for some very tricky flying. The most interesting of the bunch though has to be the Bahamas And Bermuda Triangle pack. As well as the usual packed dynamic scenery files for the whole 3,000-island archipelago, and a new plane in the shape of a TBM Avenger, the B&BT pack also adds... Read more
Besides the lack of a preset mission, Flight Simulator 98 is an excellent representation of what modern, civil, general aviation is. In that aspect, I would give it an 'A'. Unfortunately, for the audience with looking for a great challenge with added entertainment, it simply won't cut it for you. Okay, so tghere are other later versions, but with fast frames and more than adequate scenery, this does the job very , very well. Firstly there are 6 planes. The Learjet and 737 go fast, but not too fast, and the Extra 300 is your best bet with a joy-stick, for dizzying aerobatics. Read more

I do not have a pilot's license and have never taken flying lessons, other than what my friend has shown me. Newer programs have more aircraft, more airports, and more scenery; but this program still does all... Read more
I should probably preface my review by saying that I got this game free with a PC many, many years ago, and had no intention ever of buying it. However, it did allure me by what my 10-year old self viewed as a rather ridiculous concept for a game, so one day, I popped it in my computer and gave it a whirl. Needless to say, while I didn't really have much of a clue what I was doing, I spent hours on that game, largely crashing the plane into buildings and generally being... Read more
