  • Summary: This program is great this is my second program. I have a flight simulator with two axis that I have this program hooked into so with this program its just like being in and flying a real airplane. the second program I use in the house. by having two I don't have to go back and forth with 0ne program. If you like to fly old time aircraft this is for you. I like to shop on Ebay its easy and fun to look and buy.

  • Summary: I have had problems with FSX, it has been a real pain. I have a pretty high level gaming PC that I built mainly for FS and I still have problems with low frame rates I have done a lot to fix it but no matter what I do it just won't permanently fix it. So I decided to try out FS2004, I heard that it is easier on your computer and is simpler in general. With FS2004 installed and working I took my first flight. It was "really" different compared to FSX.

A Masterpiece!

  • Summary: I've been a fan of Microsoft Flight Simulator for over twenty years. I've had every single one of the flight sim versions, right up to FSX, and I've even tried the new version (Flight). While FSX is an excellent simulator, it is extremely demanding on computer resources, and even high end computers have some problems running the program. That is where FS9 excels.

FS9 or FS2004

  • Summary: For those whose machines are not up to FSX due to its CPU thirst, this is the next best thing. Even if you have a speedy CPU, setting to max does not bring out the best of the game, not because the CPU may not have the speed for FS9, but because some settings make things grainy, or too shiny, or just too artificial looking. So tweak it as you would FSX to run on slower machines.

  • Summary: To this day in 2012, I still use MSFS2004. In my opinion, the best and most stable release Microsoft has ever produced for flight simulation. Its diversity as far as accepting addon aircraft and scenery, including high resolution mesh is incredible. Flight dynamics and simulation quality are 100% depending on the hardware configuration you have set up.

  • Summary: By far the best flight simulation software I have experienced. In the time this was programmed, I had very little knowledge that this would be the "game" (using the term very loosely) that made me want to become a pilot. However, despite it's gleaming report from me, there are some downsides. Due to its age, many super-realistic add-ons for the MSFS series only work on FSX which is a shame.

With Microsoft flight simulator, the sky is the limit.

  • Summary: I love this game. I've played it so many times. Everything in the cockpit is just the way you'd expect it to be in a real airplane. I've read the real flight manuals and this game is right on accurate in the placement of all the controls on the airplane. You can fly anywhere in the world at real air speed too. I like flying the Boeing 737 and 747 airplanes. As you pull back on the joystick and get ready for take off, you get the real feel of power from a turbine engine.

Good if you like this kind of game

  • Summary: It's more like a learning tool than a game.If you set the settings to realistic, and the weather to the actual weather outside,It's quite a challenge to takeoff and land sucessfully. You can get added scenery and planes.Overall,it's a good game if you're into this type of game.

Excellent program

  • Summary: The clouds looks real, the planes are nice, you can add scenery to the program. I'd say it's an excellent way to learn to fly. Well worth having. I haven't spend a lot of time in the program to give lots of details, but I can say the graphics are an improvement over FS 2002. One thing I did notice is it uses way more disc space than it states in the specs. It takes almost 3G of hard drive so make sure you have at least that much.
