Flatout: Ultimate Carnage / Disappointment
21 August 2013
Summary: I am receiving an error message when I attempt to run this on my Windows 7 Pro 64-bit machine: "Conflict with Emulation Software detected. Please have a look at http://www.securom.com/message.asp?m=emu&c=2500 for further, more detailed information." Anyone else seen this error?
Summary: This is a decent game for the crash and burn fanatics !! It's fun to play, but it doesn't compare with Split Second, in my opinion. Which I was hoping for a fair comparison between the two. It's still a fun game. After playing this game for a while now, I want to update my review..........This game is fun to play, but they ruined the game play with way to much debris being thrown into the track, and then the game will crash you, no matter what you do with the controls.
Summary: Used to play it on the PlayStation and a friend reminded me about it for the PC, so picked it up and it's been a blast from there. Carnage Mode is just like I remember it's a fun wrecking racing game. I wish they would make a newer one now!!!
Summary: I had downloaded from net and every race worked in slow motion and controlled on my computer keyboard very poorly, so I saw this one on amazon and purchased it when I loaded in my computer it worked the same as the down load slow motion. It was very disappointing.
Summary: Very playable. Between the bits flying off and the rooster tails coming off the cars in front its hard to beat for less than ten bucks. U got flatout mode...where its smash your way to the front and derby events that are both equally fun to play. Then there is the carnage mode, which includes checkpoint style races and some crazy thing where the objective is to eject your driver a certain distance or do a certain amount of destruction with a car on other in game objects.
Summary: The game was fun for the first few hours. I couldn't put it down. But after that the tracks seem to lack variety, and as you progress the game mechanics and layout become very frustrating. I think this game is best played casually. To play this game to completion would be tedious and boring. --==PROS==-- -Nice graphics, low system requirements.
Summary: My family loves this game. We all play together, taking turns driving. The game is simply VERY fun. It may not be the best sim, the hottest cars, the most glamorous settings etc but all together, the sence of humor, action, and mood make it one of the best games I have ever played. I use a logitech g25, and a 101 inch projection screen and this really makes the fast paced action come alive. Runs great in Win 7, and controllers work perfectly. I highy recomend it.
Summary: Poor graphics, poor physics, poor control response. Crash everything in sight is ok and different, but if it had been produced better, it would be worth buying. As it is, it's just plain poor.
