Summary: *** Based on demo *** I've always enjoyed playing the Fishdom series, and thought I'd try this one, but it was a completely different game. First off, this was purely a HO game, in various formats - no match 3. Still though, searches were fun, although you did end up searching for the same objects in each search, which I'm sure in the long run would become boring. Graphics were great, and very lively, and I enjoyed the story that went along with the game.
Summary: Fishdom and Fishdom H2O are two games in which you have to make a beautiful aquarium. You start with you basic tank and by buying plants, fishes and goodies you must make it a top tank. You earn money for buying the things by playing the game. In case of Fishdom it is a match-3 game and in the case of Fishdom H2O it is a HOG (Hidden Object Game). The graphics in this game are great, in both: the aquarium scenes and the actual HOG's.
Summary: Really nice game that wasn't what I expected - I thought this was another match 3. Actually, you do hidden object scenes in order to earn money to build your themed (Hawaiian, pirate, wild west) aquariums. The graphics and animations are beautifully done. High quality game that was much more fun than I expected. There is a timed OR untimed mode that you can choose. I did timed mode and found it was challenging enough to keep me interested but not frustrating.
Summary: It was an okay game. More suitable for the little ones. Hidden objects are just like any other. However, there's no mini-games. The hidden object is the main game, there's a quick-find game that request you to find one of 3 items listed within 15 seconds and you have to find 10 items. Also there's this collect gold rush in 30 seconds. That's about it. Nothing too challenging.
Summary: An alright game, it's sort of childish. :( I do have to admit its fun decorating your tank, adding fishies and plants. Still I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone, especially those who want a challenge.
Summary: Okay game. I do like the original match-3 one better, however. I usually hate match-3 and like HOG better, but in this comparison I have to say that H2O goes to far into the easier territory that seem to plague most HOG releases lately.
Summary: Kind of "kiddie" but I really liked decorating the tanks! It was cute when you'd see the thought bubble telling you what your fish would like. I also really enjoyed finding all the gold as quickly as possible -- it was a nice change from the slower HO gameplay. Not sure about the "find one of these three items" levels...I liked it at first, but in the second tank I had to do it over and over and over! And I didn't get any more "find the gold" levels.
Summary: I love the original Fishdom and can play it for hours. This game has the same beautiful graphics and some new critters. I haven't decided about buying it as I'm a little burned out on HOGs. I agree with others that it is too bad they didn't make this one a match 3 also.
