Summary: A great game for RPG lovers. Very quest, mission intensive. I play this game almost exclusively. Downside is that it can take years to accomplish a lot of the endgame material. Also, it is impossible to get to endgame without the help of others. If you have good people to play with it can be a lot of fun, even addictive.
Summary: [...] The mouse controls for this game are horrid and the keyboard controls (both versions) are frustrating at best. It really is meant to be played on a gamepad, I highly recommend Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2 with Vibration Feedback (Black) . Everything you need at the click of a button or thumbstick. Not using a gamepad for this has the potential of becoming so obnoxious you'll drop the game even though it has otherwise good entertainment value.
Summary: I recently purchased this product for a friend fo mine. I have had no problems with Amazon in the past, but this time for some odd reason they double charged my checking account. Well have just enough to get the game it put my account into an overdrawn status. tried to get a hold of someone at CS but was on the hold for three to four hours. Will not shop at amazon anymore.
Summary: It's only fun if you can get a party, you can't really do anything on your own in this game. It is however, fun once you get into a party but it can be tough depending on what time you're going to play. There is a lot of downtime in this game too.
Summary: After pre-ordering this game, it shipped on the 16th. After DHL handed the package to my local mailing service, which by the way is less than a mile from me, they lost my package. So after 3 days of waiting and calling everyone, I decided to call Amazon, and told them my problem. They sent me another game, with upgraded shipping. The call took less than 5 minutes, and solved my problem.
Summary: FFXI is, arguably, one of the most fun, dynamic and addictive MMORPG to hit the markets. One of the latest in the Final Fantasy series, FFXI takes different elements from other FF titles, world history, and theory in developing the jobs, quests, and titles in the game. Available to play on PC, PlayStation (2) and XBox 360, FFXI incorporates a diverse player base to create a world with it's own fluctuating economy, dialect, and customs.
Summary: This game comes with a free 30-day trial, but that is not going to give you an accurate idea of the game as a whole. Its going to take some effort on the part of the player to truly experience all this game has to offer. I've been playing for a year and still haven't gotten a job to level 75. I am in no way unhappy about this, there are so many things to do that leveling a character is just part of the fun.
Great, highly-recommended game, but I didn't have enough time.

Summary: I have played many Final Fantasy games, and XI really brings the world to life by putting real people behind the characters. No more being "stuck" with the same old boring/not-so-boring NPCs, and more of a dynamic atmosphere. I like it. Like most MMORPGs, there is a lot designed to draw you in and keep you here. As a white mage, I found death and soloing two particularly harsh aspects of my early life.
