Does not run on Windows Vista

Diego Merindez "Jim", Amazon
8 October 2009
  • Summary: If you have Windows Vista or later, this game is going to be extremely difficult to play. I recommend playing it on an older system. Eidos hasn't bothered with supporting this game anymore, and I cannot play it on my Vista PC. If you have XP or earlier, there is support for it if you search online. Should you be able to play this game, you will enjoy it tremendously. My whole family played the game on Playstation years ago, and we all loved it.

  • Summary: This game has been a lot better than all of the other Final Fantasy games. They were all good, but this one has been my most absolute favorite. If I could, I'd play it every day and night just to get all the items, all the weapons, all the armor, and everything. I gave it a 10 because not only does it have the best graphics of its time, the storyline was really good, and there were plot twists at every turn.

Great game, but doesn't work on many computers

Sue, Amazon
10 April 2006
  • Summary: Storywise, graphics wise, and fun-wise this game is great. If you can get it to work, that is. It is a notoriously buggy game that simply will not run on many computers without crashing every 15 minutes. Be sure to check out the tech support to see just how unreliable the game really is, and how little the company cares about making it work correctly.

Good if you're a fan of japanese RPGs.

Hannard, Dooyoo

  • Excerpt: Final Fantasy VII differs from other RPGs in that it isn't set in a worlddominated by swords and sorcery. Instead, it takes place on a planet where technology has overtaken magic, and the world is dominated by a large corporation known as Shinra. But while the setting may be unfamiliar (except to those who have played previous FF games), it does contain many traditional RPG features such as characters with strange names, a breathlessly evil baddie, and a whole range of...

Final Fantasy 8

  • Excerpt: "Final Fantasy 7, was originally on the playstation. The port onto PC wasnt the most succesfull. Having played both Ports I can say the game play and controls went straight out the window. There were many controls on the original PSX joypad and it just dosnt quite fit on the key board. The sound quality also isnt up to scratch. The game itself is Perfect, on the PSX but had a little more time being taken then it would be perfect. The game will take ...

  • Excerpt: As we approach a new era in video game technology and originality, we always strive to look for the game that has all the stuff we want; story, graphics, music, and gameplay. This is what most Final Fantasy games lack, this unique aspect of what makes a game great. Final Fantasy 7 is a game that surpasses most games with its epic storyline, music, and movie like feel. Your basic game has just been juiced up.

  • Excerpt: This game I had on the playstation way before it came out on the PC so I bought this sight unseen an I was very disappointed to be honest. The game is a very good RPG with you controlling loads of characters. The way 3d and 2d merged was quite cool and so were the turn based battles you expect in this type of RPG But I had that many problems with crashes and bugs that I forgotten how many times I had to patch the game to get the thing to work properly and it still didn’t...

Un sistema de combate monotono

zalo, Ciao
14 March 2001
