Summary: Virtual game views are good, but this game has not really been improved over the last the 5 years, in fact some areas have gotten worse. During a game, some of the player moves are plain ridiculous ( a thru ball to a forward who will run backwards 20yards and give the ball back to the opposition!). NO in game shouts from manager to "put it out' or "waste time" or "full attack" Game will invariably crash if a player is red carded.
Summary: I absolutely love this game and the depth it goes into. Nothing is better than when you get into the game about 3 or 4 years into it and meet all requirements to go public with the team. This game is for people who love the managing aspect.
Summary: A great series, FM 09 is back for another year. This time around there are lots of improvements because the game is running on a brand new engine, but there are also a couple of bugs. But with Update 1 most of the bugs are now gone, so when you get the game, patch it! Don't believe the rumors about the sacking bug, only the illegal copies get it (not activated with EA.com). Its a very fun game, and it's very addicting!
Summary: Too many bugs in the English game eg playing League Cup matches against other sides reserve sides, having three subs in England team all called Owen Hargreaves and inability to make substitutions. A step back from the previous game and still the lack of consistency between what happens in the 3D game and the evaluations given to the players.
Summary: If you guys ever played Fifa Manager 08 (or even previous versions) it is not that different. It is a cool soccer management game with updated database; however, there is a huge bug: regardless if choose to play with or without sacking, you will be sacked at the end of the first year of your carrier. EA is aware of this bug and still didnt come up with a patch...
Summary: Graphics ------------ The 3D match engine taken from the FIFA 09 game and put into this game is as always perfect, there is no freezing, no players that glide along the pitch seemingly not using their legs. The beautiful game is seen exactly as it should be. Sounds ------------ There's nothing like hearing the crowing roaring after your star striker bangs in a goal and that's exactly what you experience with FIFA Manager, the quality of the sound is amazing, recognizable...
Summary: I've played all of the EA Sports FIFA Manager series since 2002, and whilst there have been ups and downs, they have generally been good quality games. The series is often overlooked and frowned upon by its Football Manager rivals, and whilst it is weaker in many ways than its rival, it also has some features that are a lot better.
Pros: Text mode is a great new feature
Cons: Still too many bugs, finances are not realistic and managers still have fake names
FIFA Manager 09 (PC): Fifa Manager 09 - finally it delivers the goods

Summary: Well Fifa Manager 09 is here and is it finally the game which for me lives up to the all of the potential which I have always felt EA Sports have had in the field of a football manager game....the answer yes it lives up to what I hoped for and so much more. I am playing this game on a 4gb machine and for the first time with a Fifa Manager game have been amazed at how smooth the game is.
Pros: Great graphics, terrific game interface, great gameplay, reactive to user decisions, smooth running
