Summary: I bought this game for myself because I love farming and thought it would be fun. This game is a lot of fun however all of the equipment is from Europe, there is no American made iron in the game. I did find out that you can download add ons so you can have American equipment so all in all a good buy.
Summary: Because the game is continuous :-) and you can't get into your own farmhose to sleep anyway. Before starting out in this game proper, do try the missions as they are tutorials as well and show you all the controls of most of the machinery and vehicles on offer. Once started you can get hooked, feels very lifelike with quality play. Graphics are excellent and so far no glitches encountered. Scenery is quite marvellous at times when you get driving around the island.
A good platform for young and old to practise on before going onto the 2011 edition

Excerpt: Farming simulator 2009 has taken what every boy to man aspires, that they want to drive one of those big machines they see in the field, whether you are young or old it appeals to all. Not only does the game include several Missions/Tasks you can also play career mode as per a normal everyday farmer. Missions consist of all the learning criteria to play in career mode so you will learn how to plough, cultivate, seed, spray, harvest and even bale.
Summary: The extras pack provides some useful & interesting new features and equipment but doesn't quite go far enough in my view. In particular, I personally would have liked the extras to have included some new maps of different agricultural landscapes & the inclusion of more animal options - e.g. sheep & wool collection and the ability to add more cow pastures).
