Summary: This game requires a lot of time spent which to me is good for my money. Lots of walking and exploring along with driving jeeps mixed in with battles and strategy. Difficulty level is not real high but does get a little intense once and a while.
Summary: I tried this when it first came out, PC Gamer magazine CD trial thing. The computers I had back then were not able to run this. It's okay, not as good as I thought it would be. Of course I'm comparing it to what is out there today which isn't fair.
Summary: I got this free download when I pre-ordered Far Cry 3. The game worked fine once I got it running, but it took a little bit to get moving. First, you'll see in the description it says 32 bit OS only, that means 32 Bit OS Only. It runs on a 64 bit computer but you can't install it.
Summary: After installing but before playing, find the x64 patch on the web and install it. This game runs GREAT on my HP G62 laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate. I played it when it was new and it's almost like a different game when running it in 64 bit with better hardware than I could afford back then, lol.
Summary: Crytek is a developer that knows how to create near perfect first person shooters. Far Cry is another of those examples from their repertoire. This is some great, solid stuff, despite the bugs and glitches. A game to remember. Far Cry is hard. A true challenge even at the easier difficulty settings.
Summary: Very good game, even today I was able to replay it all and I wish more recent game simulated what this game did, just throws you into a jungle and let's you figure out the rest for there. It's a shame the sequel is such a horrible mess.
Summary: Ok, so let's start with what I do like so we can get that out of the way quickly. The graphics and settings are amazing. The islands are rendered beautifully with huge draw distances and lush foliage. The gun fights are actually pretty frantic and the vehicles can be cool at times.
Wonderful environment/effects, gameplay is average

Summary: Far Cry is going to be one of those games where either you love it or you uninstall it the first week. I recently invested in a Dell XPS 600 and had no problem playing this game. Those gamers with less than 1GB of RAM may experience difficulty, as the graphics eat up memory.
Summary: It may not be the best story ever told, but the game play is great. The general plot is standard--rescue a girl from a mad scientist on an island. The high points are good graphics, amazing scenery, and fun missions.
