Summary: It came out in 2004 along with HL2 and Doom 3. However just like Doom 3, the graphics is all it really had to offer. Wasn't bad at the beginning with the jungle, however as soon as I saw those ridiculously looking mutant monster things, my god..
Summary: Farcry took the game world by storm a few years back and to be honest I never really understood why. The much lauded AI is barely average and consists mainly of eagle eye sharpshooting, kamikaze charges and body armor. Character animation is comically bad and the voice acting is atrocious.
Summary: I started Farcry with high hopes for it. It looked good, sounded good and was hailed as one of the best shooters since half-life. I began playing it and found that it was all that was promised. The graphics are just plain stunning, with the absolute largest environments I have seen in any game ever.
Summary: ...but the game has to be one of the most frustrating first person shooters ever created. First things first: The graphics engine is awesome. This is easily the most beautiful game world ever created.
not as good as demos, but worth the dough, for the outsides

Summary: got full version on thursday (25th). played about 18 hours since then. on level 14 of 20. I LOVED the demos, played them for hours and hours. the full game has alot of linear indoor stuff as well though (just move down a tube). sometimes there may be 2 routes, but that is not nonlinear.
Excerpt: This is quite an old game but PC Zone have claimed that it is the most exciting shooter since Half Life. This is a bold claim. The story goes that you wash up on a tropical island after your ship crashes only to find that the island is swarming with armed mercenaries.
