Summary: The dvd is not the game but a portal to an online service which installs software to run the game online. The software crashes my computer every time I run it. Worthless to me, not worth returning.
Ubisoft cannot keep their servers running; can't even play...

Summary: I downloaded Far Cry 3, which went well through Steam, but now I cannot play it at all because I'm forced to setup a Uplay account. The Ubisoft server is unavailable - and I'm seeing that is the case for many of their games on an ongoing basis. Awful.
Summary: This software with all its copyright protections and working with Steam and the internet was a nightmare. It rendered the software unusable for me. I am sure others had great reports but I would contact Ubisoft and they would say its Steam. I got tired of excuses and gave up. The game is gathering dust on the shelf unused.
Summary: Good luck trying to play the game after you buy it. sure it will work the first time, until uplay crashes and you have to reinstall and re download all of your games. At 10+ hour downloads, this is not a quick fix. To top it off Ubisoft knows about the problem and hasnt fixed it.
Summary: The game logged in steam, so that's good. However, Ubisoft require you to play the game in UPlay for additional DRM, which is horrible. The game wouldn't even launch for me, it just crash on start up. I spoke to a representative from amazon, they told me to contact Ubisoft. I did and spent 2 weeks doing their requests with changing this file, that file, turnoff antivirus, disable all other start-up programs...
Summary: I loved the original FC, found the 2nd one way too dependent on vehicles, and so looked forward to this one with great anticipation. Bought it Feb 2013, it was defective, I could not get past the opening sequence, got killed every time by the first assassin. Replaced the disc, then could not get past gathering various items from wild pigs, the end to that would not operate. Now, months later, I'm trying it once again.
