Summary: Lack of mouse responsiveness makes the game unplayable. The cursor starts moving after the mouse is moved, and keeps moving after the mouse stops moving. I spent an hour on it and so far have zero seconds of game play. It is literally unplayable.
Ubisoft comes up flaccid in their multiplayer lobby & there's no E.D. script in sight =[
28 August 2014
Summary: FC3 will not let you play with other online players via PC. Ubisoft doesn't seem to care that their lobby has never worked. I bought the Steam version but haven't been able to connect to a single online game when all my other games work just fine. The only reason to buy this game is to use the Far Cry Editor but as it is now, any levels you create are only able to be played alone. WTF Ubisoft/Steam?
Summary: I have had the same email address for 25 years and have done hard drive upgrades/reformats. The product KEY fails to work, and I'm unable to get the product support team to make this work. Frustrating! I will not puchase another Unisoft game.
Summary: The dvd is not the game but a portal to an online service which installs software to run the game online. The software crashes my computer every time I run it. Worthless to me, not worth returning.
Summary: Avoid this like the plague unless Uplay is out of the picture. Go with steam.
Cons: To start off with - I have: -Gone to college for computer science and engineering -Used computers avidly for more than 15 years -Currently work for Geek Squad fixing software & hardware issues Annnnnd this game... well, I'd review it, if I could. Uplay is by far the most pathetic bit of software I've ever laid my eyes on. Aside from being unnecessary, it doesn't install the updates properly on a 'just out of the box' custom built pc. Literally had my new pc running fo...
Ubisoft cannot keep their servers running; can't even play...
10 April 2014
Summary: I downloaded Far Cry 3, which went well through Steam, but now I cannot play it at all because I'm forced to setup a Uplay account. The Ubisoft server is unavailable - and I'm seeing that is the case for many of their games on an ongoing basis. Awful.
Summary: This software with all its copyright protections and working with Steam and the internet was a nightmare. It rendered the software unusable for me. I am sure others had great reports but I would contact Ubisoft and they would say its Steam. I got tired of excuses and gave up. The game is gathering dust on the shelf unused.
