good game, if it does not crash

Stewart E., Newegg
23 June 2013
  • Summary: If you are lucky enough not to have the lockup issue it's a good game for the price, I would have been really ticked if I had bought it when it first came out for 40-50 bucks. I probably will not buy any of the newer versions of the game without some serious research about the lockup issue.
  • Pros: Fun game, big maps, good wep selection, price
  • Cons: The problem I have is after I save my progress about 5 times, the game locks up. I have to ctl-alt-del and kill it in task manager. If I try to just restart the game, it freezes on startup. I have to restart my computer, then I can play and save about 5 times before it locks up again. I tried all kinds of fixes. Never had a problem like this with any other game.

Almost Not Worth Playing

William Haddad, Amazon
1 January 2013
  • Summary: I purchased FC2 on Amazon for about $7 including shipping. After playing this game for a few weeks, I was convinced that the price was slighty high for this title. Far Cry 1 was excellent, Far Cry 2 is not even close. The game pretty much forces you to spend the majority of the play time driving back and forth across a map to find and then perform found objectives. I am disappointed in this version but do plan on checking out Far Cry 3 someday.

Not the best game in the series

Inferosaurum, Amazon
29 December 2012
  • Summary: 007: Blood Stone was the gaming sequel by the racing company Gotham Racing, a game making company that mainly focuses on car racing games. The game itself was meant to help the financial issues that the new James Bond movie Skyfall was facing. I myself was hoping for a new exciting installment in the 007 series of games that might rival Everything or Nothing, another James Bond game set in third person. Now, after playing Blood Stone, I realize that this is far from it.

A Far Cry From

FREDERICK C., Newegg
14 June 2011
  • Summary: It appears that this was and afterthought and the authors couldn't make up their minds about what to do with this game.Save your $ and wait for FC3.
  • Pros: Good graphics.
  • Cons: Not even close to the original as far as holding your interest. You are more or less wandering around in this game and sometimes forget what you are trying to accomplish.

Far Cry 2 Ubisoft dissapointment TekLevelWhatever

JOHN Y., Newegg
2 January 2011
  • Summary: you have to drive a car or a boat across the map for everything. kewl at first but too much after a few hours. irritating after a day. all guns you pick up off the ground jam and ultimately explode. kewl at first but stupid after a while. all guns will eventually jam but very few will every blow up in your hand. stupid. enemy characters float up into space on occasion. the first time this happened i was like ???. then after the second and third time it was humorous.
  • Pros: installing was quick and auto update was fast. some things are very kewl. jamming guns are no fun but a realistic event in life and i thought pretty neat idea. and you that is too annoying just buy new guns. if you wreck a car you can fix it if you get to it before it catches fire. graphics are good. you don't have to enter key code to just play the game at home. you can play this on an older machine. not too demanding if you turn down graphics.
  • Cons: too many. to begin with the menus succ and are arduous and non-intuitive. you will search a long time for some simple setup movements. visual glitches abound. the ai is worse than Far Cry 1.[was a great game] when the game starts you have to watch a poorly constructed cinematic for 5 minutes to get you up to speed of the plot. then you walk through a village and start to suffer from malaria and pass out. then you wake up and are forced to watch another poorly construc...

A repetitive game

Charles B., Newegg
30 November 2010
  • Summary: Glad I bought it from Newegg for $5. I've heard that the game is a sequel in name only. FC2 is made by a different developer than FC1 and FC2 could be considered a different game altogether. I don't recommend buying this game based on the name alone.
  • Pros: Good graphics. Cheap game (in more ways than price unfortunately)
  • Cons: NPC voiceovers are bland. Repetitive gameplay forces you to travel to opposite ends of earth, and even worse is how enemies respawn based on distance so you fight enemies & patrols at least two times to complete a single mission. Effects of extended bloody combat are only temporary due to respawn by distance model in-game. Unreaslistic damage from machine guns (try 20 bullets just to kill one guy!), unrealistic heal system that makes you look like a druggie that shoot...

Game

Will Loftin, Amazon
16 November 2010
  • Summary: The game was not what i was excepting to play. The graphics are terrible and the gameplay movement. Just not good enough to play on PC, need to make better graphics. The game looked like it was made 2 years ago. I would not pay of the full retail price.

A NOT SO GOOD AND BORING GAME

Gungzy, Amazon
5 November 2010
  • Summary: Let me start by saying that I am by far not a critique of games.I am a average 48 yr. old person who likes to play video games. When I heard this game was being released on November 2nd I had this strong desire to get this game. After all it's "James Bond".I have played and I own every James Bond game that came out in every game format possible.Though I favor PC games.I ran down to the local gamestore with my last $50 in my wallet.I went home feeling I had conquered...
