Summary: Far Cry 2 Graphics - meh, everything is a shade of brown so that even at the highest settings, with a FPS of over 60 it is hard to see what needs to be seen. Maybe this was done for "realism", but its a video game. Dunia engine so what, there are games years older with graphics that compete. Gameplay - double meh. As stated above, impossible to see enemies but they can see you through foliage. No radar so no way to know who is shooting at you from where.
Summary: Had to give the below arverage rating because the two FarCry2 games that I bought would not play on line. There Tec people (farCry) were of no help. The first FarCry in some ways was better so I thought FarCry2 would be gangbusters WRONG!
Summary: I was first exited to get the game as I red favorable reviews. After spending just few minutes in front of the computer I would suggest that it turned to be a less than satisfactory experience. Here are the most annoying nicks that really spoil the whole game; 1. Graphics is less than adequate for those who played Half-Life 2, Fear 2 and even Red Faction. 2.
Summary: When I first heard about this game coming out, I was looking foreward to it;I began to play it on the first day, and began to have problems. My PC would lock up in the game, and the only wat I could end it, was to do a hardboot(pressing the power button for 5 seconds, and then starting over). I have a decent gaming pc, and I could neer find out what the problem was. I no longer play it, got so frustrated, I uninstalled.
Pros: visually appealling, stable (hasn't crashed on me yet), and that's about it.
Cons: Physics engine is total garbage, A.I is beyond poor (this is a 1995 A.I in a 2008 game. Seriously. Duke Nukem had comparable A.I.) You will need 1gb video cards to take advantage of the graphics (and in SLI/crossfire setup as well)
Summary: This game sucks, there's no other way to put it. You can already see used games popping up and it's been barely out for a day. The graphics are horrible - the game could have been a hit four or five years ago. The textures are primitive and can't compare to either Crysis or Call of Duty 4. The entire game folder is half the size of either Crysis or COD4, so this should give you some idea of the size and quality of the objects and textures.
Excerpt: It has nice graphics, but I didn't like that the player has to unjam their guns frequently (this only happened to me when I used the enemies' guns rather than when I bought new guns in the in-game shop with the in-game diamond currency). I also didn't like that the player doesn't have Cryvision in this game like they have in Far Cry and instead of having binoculars, they have a monocle, the binoculars are way better in my opinion.
Excerpt: "I have owned this game for a few weeks now, and have had mixed feelings about it. At first, it seemed to be an excellent game, with intense graphics and intuitive, yet realistic, gameplay. However, after a few hours of gameplay, the flaws start to show. The vast majority of people you encounter will become immediately hostile to you, regardless of if you are working for their faction or not. While this means there is more action, it detracts somewhat ...
Pros: Stunning Graphics
Cons: Gameplay in general, Enemy AI, friendly AI virtually non existant .
Conclusion: I thought this game had a lot more to offer than it actually delivered. Quite honestly if you want a game where you spend hours upon hours just treking in the direction of an objective, reach it, bit of action... and back to treking. I kept telling myself 'its bound to get better soon' and carried on playing but it just gives more of the same boredom.
