Fallout: New Vegas: Lonesome Road

GameTrailers
1 October 2011
  • Excerpt: Fallout New Vegas: Lonesome Road The courier's saga comes to an end in Lonesome Road, the fourth and final downloadable installment for Fallout: New Vegas. Intended to put a tidy bow on the origin story that's seeded throughout the sprawling game, this chapter naturally has a heavy focus on narrative, eschewing much of the open-endedness we've come to associate with Fallout.

Fallout: New Vegas

ActionTrip
2 December 2010
  • Conclusion: Still, I guess hardcore RPG players, those who are after a huge world with plenty of interesting side-quests, will surely find a home here. I know Moesha has and he is as insane and hardcore as they come (in an RPG sense, of course... and in every other sense, now that I think about it).
  • Pros: Tons of good side quests, Hard core mode makes the game much more satisfying, New game play tweaks expand and enhance the RPG experience, The game feels more like a true successor to the original series, high replayability factor;
  • Cons: Frequent crashes, Lots of other little bugs, Areas of the game could have used more time with the QA department, Enemies get embedded in the scenery, Main quest line is largely uninspiring.

  • Excerpt: In the two years since its release, Bethesda has kept Fallout 3 relevant thanks to a steady stream of downloadable content that expanded the game universe. Now however, it seems to be hurting the franchise more than anything else.

Fallout New Vegas: Honest Hearts Review | Honestly, I Wouldn't Bother

Dealspwn
20 May 2011
  • Conclusion: The Short Version: Honest Hearts feels made to order: an expansion pack that's simply designed for the sake of making a little extra cash. Fans will relish the opportunity to leap back into wasteland, but considering the lack of rewards and lacklustre quests, I simply can't recommend it. If you're starting a new playthrough or favour the survival skill, Honest Hearts might be worth checking out. If you can play it without having to wait for the patch, that is.
  • Pros: The survivalist diaries are exceptionally poignant and well-written, Sizeable map area and plenty of locations, A real breath of fresh air... especially if you're specced for Survival
  • Cons: Predictable, samey and forgettable quests, Little in the way of new rewards, challenges and interesting characters, Surprisingly short, nothing new
