Summary: For those of you who can't load the DLC, make sure you did the fix for Windows 7 and enable the DLCs before you start the game in the Data File options. This is a great buy, if you never played any Fallout games before as every little thing you do will affect your future. You can choose to be vilified, in which you kill everyone you meet, or a saint where you do good deeds.
Summary: NOTE: If you use Windows 7 or higher, this game will not work! It was made before Win 7 came out, and there is an issue with the compatibility. Every time I start a new game, it crashes. I've searched everywhere for help, but nothing seems to help. Which is very unfortunate, because the game itself is AMAZING. I used to own it for PS3.....guess I'll just have to buy that version again.
Fallout One and Fallout Tactics appear to be missing...

Summary: I really like the Fallout series, in general. Played FO3 and New Vegas, so I decided to delve into the past with these three classics. It seems to work fine, with one glaring exception...only Fallout Two appears to have downloaded! I cannot access FO1 or FO Tactics at all, it's like they aren't even included...and this IS the game I purchased. :( I even uninstalled and re-installed, with the same result, so I am unsure what to do now. Disappointed, really.
Summary: I love this game! So why 2 stars? Because it is inherently incompatible with Windows 8. There are a number of workarounds, but none of them are guaranteed to work. None have for me so far. Hours of attempts, reinstalls, mod-patches, etc and it still doesn't work. I'm just glad I got it on sale, so I'm only out a few dollars.

Summary: Buyer beware! This Steam game is labeled [sic] "Fallout 3 is not optimized for Windows 7 and later." In this case this actually means "may or may not launch at all" on Win 8. Steam has no return policy, so if you want to take a gamble and plop down some hard cash for a game that may or may not run, you have been warned. A real shame too, since I love Fallout 3 and was very much looking forward to playing it on PC.
