Summary: I have to agree with the others. This game gets so boring after a short bit. I thought the same thing, good for the first hour, and then it turns boring as all get out. You are doing nothing but playing one H0G scene after another, and I mean that literally. You are finished with one and right into another one over and over again. The devs didn't give this game no concept nothing. It's like, o.k., let's just make a game and put it out there.
Summary: After reading your reviews I have no idea why I purchased this. I must have like the demo cant even remember now. Purchased first day available and big bug, still waiting for a fix, was told the dev's were advised of fix and guess we just have to wait for the fix.... still waiting grrrr. Happy gaming to all 072911 Finally was able to finish this game. This could have been a great game but....
Summary: I really hate games where you are forced to listen to or read dialogue because there is no skip button. I guess they felt their words were really important. Boring even though it is jam packed with everything imaginable...jazz, voodoo, spirits, New Orleans, etc. HOG scenes with tiny items almost too hard to see. Though, my eyes are over 70 years old, so it may be my fault on that one.
Summary: Well, after reading all the other reviews for this game I was really expecting to be disappointed but instead was pleasantly surprised. No, it wasn't the best HOG game that I have ever played, but it is FAR from the worst. I didn't have any problem with the items being too small in the HOG scenes, and I happen to like the New Orleans/Voodoo stuff. And in my experience, most HOG games don't really have much of a story to them, and I didn't think that it was that bad.
Summary: First off, DO NOT LET THE DEMO TRICK YOU INTO THIS BEING A GOOD GAME, Like I did. The demo gives you a decent first impression as you make your way through your grandfathers house, solving a couple puzzles and some decent HOG scenes and then ends when you get to the middle of New Orleans.
Summary: I wanted to like this game, I really did. But I couldn't go but one way, point A to point B, no figuring it out. I finally got stuck on a desk with a key and an urn and couldn't back out or use the items. Really, it could have been soooo much better.
Summary: I wish there were something nice to say about this game. It's a waste of time, money, and pixels. There are many good HO games set in New Orleans. Unfortunately, this is not one of them. Now I need to bleach my hard drive.
Summary: If we were asked to review which games were a great cure for insomnia, this one would get the full five stars. As it is, its an incredibly turgid and often annoying game which has little to offer in its favour. Endless HO scenes linked together by clunky dialogue and a "story" which gets no where fast. I found the fact that you couldn't move around until you scrolled through all the dialogue really annoying.
