F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin

Saving Progress
8 May 2009
  • Conclusion: The best part about this game, though, is that you can enjoy yourself from start to finish while still being totally aware of Monolith’s guiding hand. You can tell when they mean for you to be scared that an abomination is going to burst out and scream at you and you can tell when they want you to just cut loose, blowing clone soldiers into sexy little chunks of gore, but it doesn’t interrupt or corrupt the experience in the slightest; it’s because you’re already scared...

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin

GAMESQUAD
7 March 2009
  • Conclusion: F.E.A.R. 2 may not be as innovative as the original, but Monolith has created a very solid shooter. Monolith has improved on the monotonous level design of the first, while continuing to build upon the creepy and suspenseful atmosphere. If you can look past the odd ending and the unsatisfying multiplayer, then Project Origin will not disappoint. F.E.A.R. 2 comes highly recommended and is one of the best shooters to come along in a long while.
  • Pros: Nice visuals; excellent level design; solid gameplay; wonderful atmosphere.
  • Cons: Lackluster multiplayer; odd ending.

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin

ME Gamers

  • Excerpt: First Impressions My reaction is You played as the nameless ‘point man’, a recent induction in the First Encounter Assault Recon Force (F.E.A.R), in the original, an intense horror shooter from Monolith. The game followed the point man’s struggle against an army of super clone, psychically controlled super soldiers and a creepy, straight out of The Ring little girl called Alma.

Shadowbane Review

AtomicGamer
1 May 2003
  • Excerpt: The market is becoming somewhat flooded with massive multiplayer games - some of them will try and gain subscribers with a great license (Star Wars Galaxies), a focus on skill-based action (Planetside), or fantastic creatures to control (Horizons). Wolfpack Studios' Shadowbane is unique in its PvP-oriented nature. The ability to create a player-run city, defend it against enemy players, and attack enemy strongholds is what makes this game worth playing.

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin

  • Pros: abwechslungsreiche Szenarien, effektgeladene Feuergefechte, starke KI, stimmungsvolle Terror-Atmosphäre …

Test: F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin

GamingCore.de
23 March 2009
In F.E.A.R. 2 - Project Origin geht der Ärger weiter.
