Summary: I was hesitating for the longest time about getting the expansion; my main character wasn't level 80 yet, so I didn't have any particular need for it yet, and the cost was a bit too high for my low-income budget. But when I saw it on Amazon (through GoGamer) for this price, and coinciding with my main character's level ding to 80, I couldn't resist!
Yes, the game is Free to Play now, but you get a mount!

Summary: The one upside about buying this set, even if you're interested in the free to play servers, is that you do get to take advantage of all the veteran awards that the various expansions offer, but perhaps most importantly every character you create on any server, including the free one, starts out with a 65% run speed armored or unarmored cat mount. Just be advised that the free month you get with a new account is not for the free to play server, but for the live server.
Summary: This basically made me stop playing EQ2. I am not sure what the plan was when they designed this add on, but you would think that they would have at least made an effort to do something worth playing.
Honestly if you're new to EQ2 .. I'd wait til the price goes down

Summary: I've played this game for almost 5 years, and this was the second expansion that I've completely hated (The one right before this one was terrible as well). Its so much more of a time sink, there was absolutely no point in raising the level cap to 90, and its just plain boring. The end game raids so far are terrible, with terrible loot (they will probably upgrade the loot though).
Summary: I bought 2 of the expansion packs, one for myself and one for my girlfriend. When I put in Disc 1 to install the game I thought it was odd that a window came up with the options: Modify, Repair or Uninstall. I tried the Modify and after a quick second it was finished doing whatever it was that it did. It didn't install the expansion, that's for sure.
Summary: This game takes you to Odus, the land of the Erudites and the ugly amphibious mounts from Everquest. The new content isn't as streamlined as it was in TSO and RoK, but it doesn't waste any of your time (for the most part). You wont be playing for 12 hours a day and over the first two weeks of the expansion getting to level 90, but you will spend some extra time getting to the max AA level. AAs: Are now handled in a similar way to how they are in Everquest.
