Summary: Call me nostalgic, but I bought this collector's edition years after I started playing EQ2. It has a wonderful art book, an extremely outdated but fun to have manual, a collector's coin, a baby dragon in-game item and more. It was worth every penny. I'm a nerd. If you've never played EQ2 you're better off buying the most current (full) release of the game, as you'll be getting all of the current zone content at one price.
Summary: EQ2 is a fun game for all ages, but prepare to get hooked on it! There is always something to do, the graphics are great and you really can meet some fascinating people in the game from all over the world. Great friendships (and even some romances) have come from this game. If you are pretty much house-bound (as I am) it is a wonderful way to stay entertained, keep your mind active and yet be able to socialize.
Summary: This is one of the better games that few seem to know about. I'm a big fan of the fantasy genre MMO and over the past years this has become my game of choice for that. I've played other of the genre MMOs to include WOW, LOTRO, and Vanguard. In all fairness to them they are very good in their own ways. This latest expansion is an all in one release meaning you get the base game and all 7 expansion in one release. What a great chance to try the game out.
