Summary: First of all the game comes with all previous expansions so, unlike its MMORPG competitors, you do not have to buy the previous versions to have it all. Second, the graphics are much better, you can hire a mercenary to help you fight, rez you, and heal you if you can't find a group. The solo quest are amazing and there are tons of them.
Summary: Call me nostalgic, but I bought this collector's edition years after I started playing EQ2. It has a wonderful art book, an extremely outdated but fun to have manual, a collector's coin, a baby dragon in-game item and more. It was worth every penny. I'm a nerd. If you've never played EQ2 you're better off buying the most current (full) release of the game, as you'll be getting all of the current zone content at one price.
Summary: EQ2 is a fun game for all ages, but prepare to get hooked on it! There is always something to do, the graphics are great and you really can meet some fascinating people in the game from all over the world. Great friendships (and even some romances) have come from this game. If you are pretty much house-bound (as I am) it is a wonderful way to stay entertained, keep your mind active and yet be able to socialize.
Pros: This game beats out of any other MMO out there (Sans Classic Everquest). Extremely customizable characters, easy to play how you want to play. With the new content added every year or so, you'll never get bored. My Dell I'm running it on is over 5 years old, and its a choppy at full graphics, but it still runs, and even with low graphics, it still looks better than WoW.
Cons: 1. Hard to get a group sometimes. Wouldn't be so bad everyone would GET OFF STUPID WORLD OF WARCRAFT and play a real mmorpg! Leave WoW to the whiny prepubescent teenagers.
Summary: Another plus of this game is that the gamers are of a more mature age. It is rare that you see players that are under 18 years of age in this game, Which will help make your gaming experience even more desirable. So if you want to find a game that requires skill to play and has a more mature population of players then this game is for you.
Pros: Very good game with good graphics, game play, and storyline. With the unique crafting system it will keep you busy for hours. The housing and guildhall system are unique and unmatched. With thousands of quests and things to do such as, decorating your house, guildhall, crafting, raiding, or questing you will always have something to do. I have played this game for over 5 years and I still love playing it. I have played several MMORPGS and i cannot find a MMORPG that h...
Cons: Takes a great degree of skill and understanding of your class to be good at the game, which will take you a considerable amount of time. It is not much of a con though, that is what makes the came more challenging and fun. You will also need a pretty good system to run the game with no lag, but if you keep the graphics lower you should be fine.
Summary: I was going to purchase this from Newegg, but upon checkout, Free Shipping wasn't available. I then purchased elsewhere. This has been a problem for a long time with this title - I almost purchased this a year ago, but didn't when the free shipping wasn't available. So this isn't something that is a temporary issue.
Pros: Great Game. The best hands down (NON-PVP) MMO out there.
Cons: IMO, still a lot of content you miss if you don't group/raid which I don't.
