Summary: Amazon just did a promotion for the Starter pack and I snagged it. The month of game time plus extras are worth the regular price, but now I get to explore the world of EVE unhindered by trial restrictions. Highly recommend a starter pack to someone who was playing a trial like myself.
Summary: EVE is a good game if you want play on an uneven battlefield looking for overwhelming victories. It sucks if you want fun. This is a very old game. It takes real world time to build your skills in EVE, so people that have played it for 5 years will always be 5 years ahead of you characters abilities regardless of what you do. When I first played this game you had to have your computer on-line and playing it to train your skills, some of which would take months.
Summary: The download and activation code worked perfectly for me. I was using Windows 7 if that helps. This starter kit gives you a huge bump, I feel like I have been playing the game for months. I ran all the intro tutorials and have started making enough money off of mining to buy and outfit my first destroyer. This is a very cool game and this starter kit gives you a huge boost to help catch up with veteran players!
Summary: 292 hours played so far...since June I picked this up through Amazon because it was on sale....however, i like to have time tracked through Steam to show my friends how crazy I am. So after I installed this version and setup my account, I downloaded the 'Demo' through Steam and I log in with my good credentials on the Steam Demo. However, I do not get the 'trading cards' through Steam. I think the next time it is $5 on Steam I will upgrade it through there for that.
Summary: The graphics are pretty great. The game play is getting better. Mining is a bit more interesting, botting is nearly wiped out. I just don't like the community to well, and the fact that suggestions go 100% unheard all the time. The in game community is mostly pirates, theives, spies, and griefers. The out of game community is mostly forum trolls, and the devs don't participate much at all in the forums.
