Summary: This is a "boring" game. That's for sure. You drive down the same roads every single time. The real problems of the game are the speed, and the repeated scenery. Other than that, a good game to play for 15 minutes once in awhile. Oh, and free modding as well.
Summary: Well back in it's day in 2008 when this game was released it was most certainly top of it's market, but unfortunately at that time it wasn't well known. But now with the release of it's sequel there is no comparison.
Summary: One thing I find very frustrating about this game is that as you progress through the game the vehicles tend to slow down (thats what happened to me anyway). When I first started playing the game my trucks could travel on the highway with cargo at 90-95 km/h but now my trucks drive at around 60-70 km/h and sometimes as slow as 50 km/h.
Summary: Feel the frustration of a real trucker as you mosey around this quite poor simulation of Europe. Where are the laneways, houses and pretty villages? Its just a depot and freeways with pine trees. Very boring. This should have been a freebie, shame on steam for charging me 7 bucks!
Summary: If you like to repeat things over and over this is a wonderful game: very nice graphic, good management component, almost no software bugs and continuous updates support. Oh, also don't forget free modding!
Summary: Great graphics make this an excellent truck driving simulator game. If you are not a wrong side of the road type of driver, going through intersections is interesting. You enter the roundabout on the left and exit to the left. I am using a joystick, but a wheel is necessary to get the most fun out of this game. Traffic, stoplights and roadways are very realistic. My only complaint is that there is no demo-freestyle mode.
Excerpt: very good way to spend alot of time tramping around Europe! although not advisable unless you have some sort of USB steering wheel. using the GT3-1 steering wheel i spent hours and hours on the game driving and learning new routes! you can upgrade your fleet and make money while exploring.

Excerpt: I recently got Euro Truck Simulator and have basicly got this to say about it. The controls to turn the truck, using the key pad, was quite annoying due only to the range, which was all or nothing. That made turning quite complicated and, on multiple occasions, caused me to swerve into the next lane. Though that said, it is much better than than needing to turn the steering wheel back manually.
Pros: Nice drive on largely great roads . Beautiful graphics on the truck and scenery . Easy driving .
Cons: Annoying to look around the cab using the mouse . Annoying turning system when using the keypad .
