Summary: My review title says it all. Fun game, much like the books in most regards. And I agree with some of the other reviewer, an XBOX USB controller makes it easier to play than with a keyboard (my normal preference). Still, all in all, a fun game!
Summary: I don't know what some of these complaints are about. This is just an awesome game, no question. That last guy had it right - use an Xbox controller for best response. I've played it through like 4 or 5 times now,and still enjoy it better than WoW or those clones. Dragons ROCK!
Summary: I enjoyed the Eragon books immensely - mostly because they seemed very familiar, what with most of the premises 'borrowed' from numerous other authors; still, an enjoyable read. Saw the movie, another terrible port to the big screen of a decent book. Peter Jackson shoulda done it. The game follows the storyline of the movie, which is is only real mistake. That notwithstanding, VERY enjoyable and addictive, and riding the dragon is the best thing since cotton candy!
Summary: I have played the game "Eragon" for the PC. I have also played alot of other games of a similer nature so I know what I'm talking about. Yes, the game was fun, for a few hours at least. The graphics are ok, nothing too astounding, but no details in the landscape were overlooked. Overall, a very "pretty" game. The cut scenes for every finishing move were impressivly done, but did get anoying after a while. The storyline was a complete let down.
Summary: I bought the game because the price was good, they wanted $45.00 bucks in the stores. I haven't seen the Movie, but I wanted to play the game. I think it is good. You have to look real good to find your way out sometimes to go to the next level. It really makes you think. I don't dislike anything about the game.
Summary: Soon to be one of the hottest topics in schoolyards everywhere, Eragon the game, based on the movie (December release) will be hitting stores in a couple of weeks. CCC had the opportunity to play through the X360 and PS2 builds of the game and in doing so, discovered the existence of a large fanbase who love the Eragon books and universe.
Excerpt: "...take on the role of Eragon and occasionally Saphira as they battle to save Alagaesia. The main aim of this game is to kill Durza the shade. In order to do this you must fight your way through each stage of the game killing the enemies as you go. The game follows the film very closely in terms of the locations and major events. The only real difference is that you experience a whole of more enemies then you see in the film. The game is very complex ...
Pros: Endless combos and strategies to master .
Cons: The amount of buttons can become confusing .
Conclusion: Eragon the game is the only thing from being completely outraged with the movie. This game is brilliant and (also like the movie) makes changes to the storyline. It is worth a try to anyone who is a fan of the Inheritance Cycle.
