Summary: I have mixed views on this game. There were good parts and equally as many bad parts. Graphics were ok, not the best nor the worst. The scenes had old sci-fi feel to it, kind of like the book/movie of "The Time Machine" environment. Story was ok and easy to follow. It was really simple and it ended with a sentimental quote. Music was soothing. Sound, effects and animation were all ok but not great.
Summary: Blue Tea Games did a nice job on this sequel. The scenery is beautiful, mostly, sepia-tones, the music subtle and pleasant, there aren't really any HO scenes, the hints recharge quickly, there are two modes of play, and the graphics are crisp. The premise is that you must help Clarence Flatt finish building his perpetual clock. This is mostly adventure, inventive puzzles, and reverse HO scenes; that is, you must place objects in their proper place in a scene.
Summary: This game took me forever to play because I could only do so many of the scenes at one time. Gameplay here involves placing items shown in your bottom "list" into the appropriate location in the main scene. The scene contains labels for most of the items on the screen which are clues as to what you're supposed to place where. There are LOTS of titled objects on the screen and it was time-consuming to read all the labels on all the little items. Wore me out.
Summary: A HUGE YAWN...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. The game is very linear, extremely repetitive. The music, albeit unobtrusive, just adds to the boredom. I really do not understand the stellar reviews by gamezebo and other players. With so many other games out there this game is just a mind-numbing bore. The graphics were uninspired, the mini-games were cute (the first five times, LOL), but even they got repetitive. But at least they broke up the monotony.
Summary: This game is just as good as the first Enlightenus and I like it a lot. I wouldn't play his all in one sitting - you'd get tired of it - but for an hour or so at a time it's fun and doesn't lose my interest. I waited a long time for the Regular Edition and am finding it worth the wait. Some of the things I like so much about it are things it doesn't have - no 'Find the differences', no 'Repeat the Sequence' (those two I really hate and haven't encountered any so far).
Summary: I was looking forward to this game so much, but have a stubborn streak when it comes to collector's editions. So, I waited and bought it when the price came down...boy was I glad. Actually, I liked the game, graphics were well done; progress was logical, if a little boring. However, how can I give a game that took me only about 3 hours, off and on to play, a fourth or fifth star.
Summary: Beautiful graphics, good story. I like the twist on the HOG of placing objects. Overall, a very enjoyable game. My only complaint was it seemed a bit easy, would have liked a little more point and click type adventure.
Summary: A different sort of HOG game in that instead of finding things you have to find where to place things. It made a change, but I got a little bored of it near the end and felt I was randomly hovering over items to find where they should be placed rather than using any particular skill. Had a storyline and some nice scenes but I think if there were some more ordinary HOGs thrown in I would have found it more engaging.
Summary: Gorgeous game, but a little on the bland side. The gameplay just felt a little too simplistic and not as inspired as the first one. The adventure is very linear and I thought there were too many hidden object scenes and not enough puzzles/minis. I did like that the hidden object scenes were reverse-style, but they were very easy and the scenes repeated a lot. I really enjoyed the puzzles and minigames.
