Summary: Ok, yes it is funny, when the music is turned way down. Once again however, if you are a big fan of VERY LONG UPDATES then this is the game for you! What happened to games you can DL from the CD, and actually play it right off the bat? Instead it's click on play game, then please wait while the game updates from the Steam account! I mean as in updates for a couple days! I have a DSL connection and it took that long!
Summary: The game itself is lots of fun, if a little bit TOO over-the-top for my tastes. It's similar to a Grand Theft Auto type game where you run around a city causing complete chaos, mayhem, theft and murder. It plays well and looks good on my mid-range PC with Win7. I would have given the game 4 stars instead of 3 except that I'm am very irate after my experience with the "steam" aspect of the game. Now, mind you, I purchased the retail DVD version of the game.
Summary: It's an okay game I guess. Graphics are above average and the gameplay is interesting but like just about any other Tom Clancy game it has an air of childishness about it. What it actually is is a very dumbed down RTS game designed to function well on the consoles, which is the real reason there is a voice command system. Beware though, more than a tiny bit of ambient noise can make it malfunction. The good thing is that using the voice command is optional.
Summary: End War is mainly a command point capture and hold game. It is much similar to Star Wars Force Commander of years ago. It plays smoothly and has no bugs that I've seen. The developers really did a good job porting this to PC. The game is really light on my cpu and video card given that it's graphics are rather good for an RTS. Part of this is the fact that any one side is limited to 12 units (4 vehicles or fire teams per unit).
