Summary: I bought the download version and can't play when I want due to STEAM.. Thought I'd get around that by buying the disk.. Still can't play.. Very often I get the error message " The Steam servers are too busy to handle your request for (whatever game)".. Total Suck instead of Total War..
Summary: A great game! Love how easy the controls are to pick up, the immensity and detail of the battles, the fact that there are now actual Naval battles, and a very much improved diplomacy system. Obviously there are a couple minor glitches, but nothing bothersome. The only reason this game doesn't get a 5 rating is simply because of how irritating it was to install Steam since I don't game much and didn't already have it installed.
Summary: I purchased this game and after attempting to enter the code via Steam(which I totally despise)I was informed that I could not play this game unless I had previously purchased a Total War game and gotten a Steam account. Well, let's see. I have Shogun II and Empire and have activated them both through Steam(which I despise). Now I'm being advised that I have to boot up Empire then try activating Napoleon. Already did. No luck I despise Steam for many reasons.

Summary: my 13 yr old son saw this game on you tube and asked me if I would find it. I did see that there was a good number of negative reviews but my son really wanted it. So I went ahead and got it since he would be the one playing it anyway. HE loves the game and has a friend who has also purchased the game after seeing my son play it. So I say give it a try.
