OS Headache

Tyranus, Amazon
18 October 2013
  • Summary: Unfortunately, this game did not work on my Windows 8 OS, which is my one good computer. I was however able to [barely] get it to install on a couple of older OS computers. The first would not turn on again after install (completely unrelated to the game, it was just an old Windows XP) and the...

Dumbed down

J. Garvey "Gassmann", Amazon
6 June 2013
  • Summary: Only three civ's, only five epochs, terrible cartoonish graphics. A. I. Is lame. World domination mode gets boring very quickly. Skirmishes are boring one you've played all the repetitious maps. Video play is choppy, like a bad copy of a copy of a copy.

poor sequel

rts player, Amazon
4 September 2011
  • Summary: ee2 was a great game. in this game they removed all the things i loved about ee2. they tried to make it just like so many other games, instead of keeping with their strengths. the game can still be fun, but much less rescource focused, and you have to memorize a ton of hotkeys to make the game...

7 September 2010
  • Summary: I bought it because i used to play this game all the time as a young child. Sadly it broke and i couldn't find it anywhere in stores. I searched Ebay and found it and i love it. Although there are some glitches, it is an all around awesome game.

It's No Ages!

Dan Stanley, Amazon
26 October 2009
  • Summary: I bought this game after hearing how much it was like Age of Empires. Some even clainmed it to be an improvement on Ages II with such awesome abilities such as more ages (or epochs) to experience.

User Review

MattK., Metacritic
22 December 2003
  • Summary: Empire Earth contains a lot of content. a little bit too much content for me, with like 24 very similar civs and about 120 optioins to make your own, over 300 units i think, and way too many things to build....not much strategy here, but it looks decent and the campaigns are more fun...

Jim, Metacritic
27 September 2003
  • Summary: First there was age of empires then other spin offs such as star wars battlegrounds, this is nothing more than a been there done that revamp on an old game. The unit hit points and damage are far off with little balance.

History Buffs Beware

L. Sabin, Amazon
3 January 2002
  • Summary: OK, I did a lot of research on EE before it came out, and couldn't decide if I'd like it or not. AOK, with The Conquerors, is my favorite game of all time. I thought it was getting a little dated though, and thought EE would replace it as my all time favorite. I was wrong.

Could be better

KingDuncan, Amazon
13 March 2004
  • Summary: Well being a big fan of games in this genre I thought that this game would provide something slightly different to the usual Age of Empires clones. It had the potential to do so, as it has a vast array of units and I was particularly looking forward to the prospect of having 14 different ages to...
