The two primary forces behind the successful Age of Empires games were Rick Goodman and Bruce Shelley.  While Bruce Shelley continues to work on the Age of Empires' series latest game, Age of Mythology , Rick Goodman went on to start Stainless Steel Studios.  Now his new development studio has released its first game, Empire Earth, and it's, in a word, expansive.  Empire Earth is a real-time strategy game in the Age of Empires mold, but while that game focused on Read more

Resource gathering has been upped to five different categories: stone, iron, gold, wood, and food. So, if you’re comfortable with Red Alert’s one resource, EE will hit you like a ton of bricks. You’ve got to be absolutely sure that all your civilians are collecting (or building or populating) something all the time or you’ll be SOL when you start amassing armies and upgrading them. The actual upgrading process is very easy. Read more

Empire Earth a real-time strategy game that lets you control the destiny of a fledgling civilization through 500,000 years of human history, developed by Stainless Steel Studios, a company founded (1998) 0by Rick Goodman, the creator/lead designer of Microsoft's award-winning and best-selling Age of Empires game. Graphics & Sound: To be honest, the graphics in Empire Earth aren't all that great. The game is 3D, which is nice, but the units are fairly undetailed, with weak texturing and not many polys. And many of the incidentals on the map--trees, for example--are actually sprites. However, this lack of graphical punch undoubtedly helps one of the main things about any RTS--a large number of units on the screen don't bog the game down, which is a serious plus. Read more

Empire Earth review Game Over Online - http://www.game-over.com A couple weeks ago I reviewed Schizm, a game that owed more than a little to the classic adventure Myst. Now I have Empire Earth, a real-time strategy game that has a significant Age of Empires feel to it. In fact, the lead designer for Empire Earth, Stainless Steel Studios’ Rick Goodman, was also the lead designer for Age of Empires. Read more

This is an awesome game for anyone who wants a simple Take over the world game! Though the Sierra Servers have been down for a few years now,(so don't expect an updates) There are a few Third party game servers which you can use for multi-player but other than that and LAN games its all you Vs the Computer! This game is also needed for the few expansions offered. Still one of my favorite games Ever! Read more

In summary, Empire Earth is a game where you manage resources, buildings, and units throughout the ages (from prehistory to the 'Nano Age', which is something like the 2100s). Throughout the game, you perform upgrades, explore, construct, and produce units to battle enemies in order to win. I've played both EEI and EEII (not EEIII, though it seems to be garbage), and I must say that I would prefer the original over the sequel. Read more

Well i realise that the graphics may not be up to scratch but it is an amazingly fun game to play. I also love EE2 but they say , the original is always the best, i agree here. Skirmishes can last for hours and the story mode is good as well. The main advantage/disadvantage(some people like it some don't) is how you can go up an epoch. Basically you can go up an age. Firstly and perhaps most notably, the game starts off in pre history. You are little more than cavemen, with rudimentary weapons and makeshift buildings, as time passes and you accrue an appropriate amount of resources, you can begin the revolution towards a new epoch. Epoch's can be broken into four main era's (with each era further broken down into a couple of sub divisions). Read more
