Lot of fun, for an older format game

  • Summary: The game moved along nicely. I had only a small bit of trouble figuring out what needed to be done next. I am not partial to games using magic, and the like, so not my style of game experience. The ending could have been a bit better but the length was perfect.

  • Summary: Quite a fun game, also worked on by Wadjeteye Games and it is interesting when they do with the wizard of Oz lore. I quite enjoyed this and it's a nice short adventure game that I recommend to most anyone willing to have a go with it, not ot mention it's quite cheap and easy to find online.

  • Summary: There's no place like home. Just not at home playing this game. *sigh* I am downright furious. Emerald City Confidential had all the makings of a really enjoyable point-and-click adventure title but it is one of my biggest video game disappointments. The storyline was fantastic, the voice acting was great and the music was fine. The puzzles on the other hand. WTF. It's almost like the There's no place like home. Just not at home playing this game.

  • Summary: This was the best game I've played in ages! True adventure game fans will love this one - not a single Hidden Object scene to deal with, just pure adventure gaming in every sense of the word! Yes, the game was relatively easy and the graphics nothing to shout about, but the fantastically woven story, acerbic humour - which reminded me a bit of the Monkey Island series from the early '90s, and excellent voice acting throughout (I LOVED the voice actor who did Shaggy!

Fun, Classic Gameplay

  • Summary: This is a cute point-and-click adventure game set in Frank L. Baum's Oz, 40 or so years after his stories take place. The game has a film noir feel to it, and you play Petra, a private detective. I wish it had more puzzles and instances where objects mattered and had to be used -- overall the game felt linear and a lot of the moving forward was done solely through dialogue, rather than interacting with the environment.

  • Summary: Wow. If I could give this game six stars, I would do it. I absolutely adored playing it! The story of the witty detective with the tragedy in her past has been done before, but the gameplay, graphics, voice acting, and clever quests ALL more than make up for it. The story begins in Emerald City, 40 years after the events that brought Dorothy Gale and her four companions to Oz (and they have all aged well, I must say).

  • Summary: WOW! Its just my fvorite game. It stands in fiirst position in my favorite games. Petra is a wild detectiive. The story is spell binding. Its about magic and I enjoyed using the magic. The corruption, cruelty was shwn very well. Ozma's corruption was also very well shown. Characters are very nice. it deserves a sequel for sure.
