A game that, although plays pretty good, the 1.4 patch is what you will be dealing with...

Summary: Many games have come and gone for PC. Some are good, some are bad. Some games try to remake the original concept while others try to make their own concept. "Elemental" a strategy/rpg game that plays very similar to "Civilization", only it's in a mythical world and you use magic. The concept is actually taken from the old DOS game called "Master Of Magic" and almost is a remake in a lot of aspects. The graphics they used come close to resembling comic book style.
Summary: I recently purchased the limited edition version of Elemental: War of Magic, because $15 bucks seemed a better deal for all the extra stuff than $10 for the electronic download version with nothing. Unfortunately, I had a bear of a time getting it registered and patched. It seems that Stardock no longer supports the game directly and registration/support is done through the ebgames servers.
Summary: The book that this game is based on is much better. I have downloaded updates that seem to make the game more enjoyable but it is, overall, very generic in its current incarnation. I don't regret buying the game but I can't currently recommend it to others.
Summary: well the gameplay is very simliar to the Civilization series and very enjoyable to play with the exception of all the bugs that get you when you play the game. The game is still very buggy and should have still been left for beta testers to play with instead of being sold as a final product. Every two weeks they fix some of the bugs with their updates.
