Summary: Many games have come and gone for PC. Some are good, some are bad. Some games try to remake the original concept while others try to make their own concept. "Elemental" a strategy/rpg game that plays very similar to "Civilization", only it's in a mythical world and you use magic.
Summary: I recently purchased the limited edition version of Elemental: War of Magic, because $15 bucks seemed a better deal for all the extra stuff than $10 for the electronic download version with nothing. Unfortunately, I had a bear of a time getting it registered and patched.
Summary: The book that this game is based on is much better. I have downloaded updates that seem to make the game more enjoyable but it is, overall, very generic in its current incarnation. I don't regret buying the game but I can't currently recommend it to others.

The game is still very buggy and should have still been left for beta testers to play with instead of being sold as a final product.
Summary: There are moments of fun to be had here, but it's clear Elemental was developed without any sort of formal design methodology or prototyping. The erratic and frantic nature of the last few patches make this clear.
